2025 10-Day Vic Falls, Caprivi & Delta Premier Explorer Adventure

Days 1 - 3: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Overlooking a beautiful stretch of the Zambezi River shoreline and located on its white sandy beach, Mpala Jena Camp epitomises bare-foot luxury. The camp is conveniently located 16 kilometers inside the Zambezi National Park, making for easy access to Victoria Falls town. Still, it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle, allowing guests to relax and unwind whilst enjoying an incredible setting amidst the wild habitat of the Zambezi National Park. The river itself is a magnet for wildlife in the concession and ensures consistent sightings of massive crocodiles and hippos who make their presence seen and heard throughout the day and night.

Under sand coloured, flowing canvas, with canopy ceilings and open views of the river frontage and wooden decking floors the camp boasts of three elegant canvas suites and two 2-bedroom family suites. Each suite has an en-suite bathroom with an indoor shower, as well as an outdoor bathroom with a bathtub and outdoor shower.

The main camp areas comprise of a large thatch lounge with a fireplace, indoor and outdoor dining areas. The sand floor in the bar area, the swings and the adjacent swimming pool, set the scene for guests to kick off their shoes and relax right on the banks of the river. 

Additional cost activities are available for those who wish to participate in the varied adrenalin and more relaxing activities that Victoria Falls has become renowned for. Encounter the excitement of a day navigating one of the world’s most intense white-water rafting, partake in the numerous high-wire activities at the Gorge / Lookout Cafe, conduct a cultural village tour, a historical guided high tea tour, or simply enjoy wandering the streets of this bustling tourist town, as well as a tour of the Falls.

Days 4 - 6: Selinda Reserve

Selinda Explorers Camp is poised in a remote, treasured location on the famous Selinda Spillway, under canopies of jackelberry and mangosteen trees. As the lifeline of the Selinda Reserve, the Selinda Spillway is a crucial gathering point for the wildlife of this pristine 320,000-acre Reserve.  

This classic camp has three tents and one two-bedroom family tent, all on raised platforms with a private verandah.  Each camp is en-suite with flush toilet and a shower (with hot & cold running water).

The main area tents are on ground level decorated with Persian carpets and pillows, dark wooden furniture and copper accents. This explorers style camp set up creates an atmosphere of a by gone era.
 
Activities concentrate on getting back to nature with the emphasis on guided walking and there may be the option of canoeing when water levels permit (currently July – September, subject to change). In addition, day and night game drives are available exploring the Selinda Reserve. It is a wildlife hot spot, with huge herds of elephants and buffalo, lion, wild dog, sable and roan antelope all frequently spotted. 

Please note that the camp has 2 vehicles taking up to 4 guests in each which guarantees a window seat for all (unless a private group would like 6 in a vehicle), activities are planned together with your guide and all guests in camp, no private vehicle is available.

Days 7 - 9: Ng12 Concession

Duba Explorers Camp is a romantic under canvas style camp, capturing the feel of an authentic 1920’s high-end expedition safari. This camp is located in the Okavango Delta of Botswana.

Duba Explorers Camp features five expedition-style tents under light cotton canvas on slightly raised decks. Each tent has a private veranda, small desk and en-suite facilities consisting of a flush loo, double basins and indoor shower. Fans and careful open-air design maintain a comfortable climate for rest and relaxation. The camp is set on the banks of a river, looking out across a floodplain with easy access to water-based activities and the main island for game drives.

The main area is set under sweeping marquis canvas, on raised decking and consists of an open-concept dining and lounge area that opens to the outdoors on all sides. In the evenings, the fire pit is always a popular spot to recount the day’s events.

Duba Explorers Camp is a combination activity-based camp, allowing guests to explore the Okavango Delta’s channels by mokoro or canoe when water levels allow, as well as open game drive vehicle safaris. Day and night game drives are conducted in specially modified vehicles, complete with fold-down screens, raised roofs, photographic bars and multi-plug invertors. With just four to six guests each, the Cruisers are fully stocked with drinks and snacks. Guided game walks with licensed, armed guides are available.
