An optional extra would be to board a boat to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island is wanted

You will also head over the 600m heights of Chapman's Peak Drive, which is without a doubt one of the world's most spectacular mountain passes. You will also have a chance to watch Southern Right Whales frolicking just offshore from June to November.

Day 10

Kruger National Park

Day notes

Early morning safari and breakfast back at the lodge

Like the Lebombo Euphorbia tree after which it was named, the design of Lebombo Lodge is one of a kind. From the sweeping wooden decks, you can watch the theatre that unfolds before you, while the lap pool beckons to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

The fifteen suites feature contemporary finishes with beds dressed with Egyptian cotton and silky-soft throws. Enjoy dinner in the boma, then spend the evening, if you so wish, sleeping under the stars on the bed of your private terrace.

Lebombo is located in the N’wanetsi concession which is a natural wonderland and represents one of the few remaining unexplored territories in Africa

Hidden in the Lebombo Mountains on the eastern side of the Kruger National Park, the reserve boasts some of the best views in southern Africa, be they perched over the magnificent N’wanetsi River Gorge or on the expanses of the basalt plains.

These diverse habitats house an even more fascinating array of wildlife. This is lion country, and the formidable lion prides here are some of the biggest in the world. They provide endless hours of interest as they stalk, hunt, feed, sleep, patrol territories, mate and raise their playful cubs.

Other species abound too - elephants, rhino, buffalo, vast herds of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, waterbuck and even leopards. There are a lot of real rarities as well; the elusive black rhino and magnificent sable antelopes, serval, caracal, and African wild cat round off an unforgettable safari experience

Even from the elevated safety of your suite you might hear the distinctive rustle of reeds below as a herd of elephant slowly pass by. The grunting chuckles of the resident hippos become a familiar sound during your day and at night

This concession is home to exquisite selections of flora and fauna in four different eco-zones. Many of the indigenous plants, shrubs and herbs are used by local healers to make traditional medicines. The sheer size and space make it an ideal area for walking, experiencing this pristine area as you should, in complete and utter silence, as you touch the earth lightly

Following your afternoon/evening safari return to the lodge for dinner.

Overnight on a full board basis including all meals, teas and coffees, two open land drover safaris per day, walking and mountain bike safaris, all drinks including premium wines, spirits and liqueurs.
