Nxai Pan is one of Makgadikgadi’s natural salt pans located on the northern border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The Pan is one of the more accessible areas of the Makgadikgadi and situated here is Migration Expeditions Camp.

Migration Expeditions is made up of 6 canvas tents set on low decks. All tents are en-suite with bucket showers. The main areas are made up of two tents which consist of the dining room and lounge area. 

Nxai Pan is well known for its huge springbok population and once the rains have started, gemsbok, elephant and zebras migrate to the region. At this time zebras come in their thousands to drop their young at Nxai Pan, which increases predator activity, making for good sightings. The camp is only open from December to March each year when there is abundance of activity.

Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and outings to Baines’ Baobab.

Located within the Okavango Delta’s community – run Khwai concession, Khwai Leadwood is tucked away under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. The banks of the lagoon flowing into the Khwai river act as a boundary between the Moremi Game Reserve and the community area offering guests several unique ways to experience the area and its extraordinary wildlife.

Khwai Leadwood comprises of six standard tents and one family tent. All tents are en-suite with indoor/outdoor showers, as well as private decks with day beds. The tents are decorated with woven baskets and beaded décor, along with modern elements to create and authentic contemporary African style.

Keeping in line with the intimate and exclusive wilderness experience, the camp’s main area boasts a pool, reading area, dining and lounging areas.

During their stay, guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris and mokoro safaris (water levels permitting) in search of big attractions including lion, cheetah, wild dog, elephant and hippos. The night drives allow guests to get up-close and personal with some of Africa’s elusive animals.

Explore Botswana in an open 4x4 vehicle, driven by your safari guide. Encounter the region's wildlife during early morning and late afternoon drives – the times of day when animals are most active. Learn about the wildlife, their tracks, and the surrounding plants from your expert guide as you experience close-up encounters. On your game drives, enjoy morning coffee, snacks, and evening sundowners set against the beautiful backdrop of a savanna sunset.

Walking safaris in the Moremi Game Reserve present a rare opportunity to explore the African wild on foot. By stepping away from the safari vehicle, you can fully immerse in the environment, awakening your senses to the sights and sounds of nature. Our expert walking guides will accompany you through the African bush, offering fascinating insights into wildlife, animal tracks, insects, native plants, and the region’s geology.

Guided walking safaris are for guests 16 years and older and are led by our qualified and passionate walking guides who share their knowledge and love of the bush.

Bird lovers will find plenty to enjoy in the area’s rich diversity of avian life, with chances to spot incredible species like the African fish eagle and African wood owl. Listen for the distinctive call of the Green Heron or try to capture a photo of the elusive Pel’s fishing owl. Whether you're admiring their beauty or simply soaking in their songs, African birdlife is a marvel to behold.

Working together with the communities around the areas we operate in gives locals an opportunity to be self-sustainable, by sharing knowledge there has been a decrease in the human-wildlife conflict. Take the opportunity to visit the locals and become accustomed to their way of life.

"Ngwana," the Setswana word for “explorer,” is the name of our young adventurer program at Khwai Leadwood. The Ngwana Club offers a variety of safari adventures for children of all ages, including nature walks, cooking classes, traditional storytelling, and arts and crafts. Children’s safari activities are tailored to each family's unique needs and preferences, considering ages and any special interests or requests.

Setari Camp enjoys an idyllic island setting on a 50,000 hectare private concession in the Okavango Delta’s Panhandle region. The island is dotted with palm trees and offers an exclusive, water based safari experience. Activities are available all year. The camp sits atop wooden walkways and platforms to maximise views of the surrounding waterways.

All of Setari Camp’s nine large tented rooms, one being a family unit, feature en suite bathrooms with separate loo, outdoor shower and bathtub. 

The central camp facilities under thatch include the dining area and a comfy indoor lounge. Outdoors, Setari Camp has a well shaded relaxation area and swimming pool. Electricity supply is available with certain limitations.

The permanent waters of the Okavango Delta’s region are renowned for their exceptional birding, and aquatic wildlife is plentiful. Larger water dependent animals such as hippo and crocodile are frequently seen.

Standard Tent Family Tent Accessible Tent

There are 8 standard light and airy tented 'suites'. Each of the tents are elevated on stilts and accessed via wooden walkways and private decks with superb views from which to watch the sunset with a G & T! The tents can all be made into doubles or twins and have comfy sofas, fan, mosquito net, armchairs, safes, desks and en-suite bathrooms. Each bathroom has a free-standing bath, shower, loo and outside shower-with-a-view. The beds are all extra length and when made into a double, are super king size.

The family tent comprises 2 'standard' tents situated together sharing a massive deck! Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with adjoining outside shower so that mum and dad can keep an eye on the kids but enjoy a little privacy! Both tents can be configured as doubles or singles and each have extra length beds, mosquito net, fan, desk and comfy sofa. The family tent has 2 en-suite bathrooms with free-standing bath, shower, loo and outside shower. There is also a private decking area in between the tents, ideal for private dining. There is also a private deck.

We have a specially designed tent to meet the needs of those requiring accessible facilities. The bathroom is fully accessible with lower sinks and space for easily moving around in a wheelchair. We also have wheelchairs available in camp for those whose mobility is limited. There are no steps anywhere in camp and the whole camp is built on level walkways.

Setari Camp offers a range of boating activities including cruises in the nearby lagoons and waterways in their boats. Two of the boats have a viewing deck which make the ideal spot to enjoy the spectacular sunsets with a glass of bubbly and to view this marvellous ecosystem and its resident wildlife. The largest boat can take a maximum of 10 guests and the other 2 can take 8 guests each. Boat safaris are offered inclusive in the cost and go out twice a day with expert professional guides.

In our view, there is no better way to immerse yourself in the bush than by going on a bush walk! We offer walking safaris on the islands to the south of the concession. Each of the walks is guided by one of our professional guides who is armed. We take a maximum of 8 people on a walking safari and each walk is accompanied by both guide and back up guide. Unfortunately, we do not accept children younger than 12 years old on our bush walks.

Fishing in available at Setari and tackle and rods are provided. Spend a lazy afternoon trying your hand at fishing with your professional guide exploring the lagoons or main channels. The fishing at Setari is amazing and the Barbel run between August and end of October makes for an exhilarating sport for the keen fisherman with tiger fish in abundance.

For guests spending 3 nights with us, we offer a full day out exploring the Okavango. We leave early in the morning and travel by boat to the South of the concession to the idyllic islands where we go on a bush walk before having a picnic. A leisurely boat ride back in the afternoon affords the opportunity to watch the sun setting before reaching camp. A fantastic way to spend the day!

Our airstrip is located on the beautiful and remote Jao Village, a small and isolated island with approximately 400 inhabitants. We offer the opportunity to go and visit the villagers and to see their fascinating way of life.

We offer a chance to glide through the waters of the Okavango in a traditional Mokoro which is a dug-out canoe navigated by an expert poler. Spot the exquisite malachite kingfisher or marvel at the crystal clear waters.

We offer a wide range of fresh and nutritious meals at Setari all prepared by our wonderful resident chefs. Meals are either served under thatch in the impressive main area or al fresco on the deck. We can cater for vegetarians and vegans. We can also organise private dinners to be served in the comfort and privacy of your tent or on your own viewing deck.

Situated on the Thamalakane River and only 15 minutes from the town centre is Maun Waterfront Guesthouse. The guesthouse is ideal for self-drivers, overnighting before flying out or just staying in Maun briefly.

Maun Waterfront offers 8 spacious rooms which can accommodate 16 guests. There are 4 rooms upstairs and 4 downstairs. All rooms, with either a king or twin bed, aircon, fan, coffee station and a bar fridge, have en-suite bathrooms. All the rooms upstairs have sliding doors opening onto a private balcony overlooking the Thamalakane River while the downstairs rooms also have their own private verandas of the same view.

The main area of the guesthouse has an indoor seating area with a private bar, television room and a communal deck. While staying at Maun waterfront guests can book activities such as day trips into Moremi and scenic flights. Mokoro trips and sundowner boat cruises are seasonal and water level dependent.
