Impala Camp was set up by old East Africa hand Gillie Zanacchi and his wife Tessa as a retreat where they could take their friends to enjoy the animals and the bush.
It soon became obvious they would have to share!
It is located about one hour's pleasant game drive from Mtemere Airstrip, in the eastern side of the photographic area of Nyerere National Park, north of the Rufiji Rver.
It lies between two beautiful lakes - Mzizimia and Siwandu - which attract a rich variety of game, both in the wet months of November, March and June, and in the dry seasons.

Vuma Hills Tented Camp | Mikumi National Park
Vuma Hills Tented Camp is situated atop the treetops, offering expansive views of the seemingly boundless wilderness to the southwest of Mikumi National Park.
Tucked away in the Vuma Mountains' forests, which command a panoramic vista of the Mikumi's Mkata Plains below, Vuma provides a refreshing escape from the day's game-drive heat.
The tents are thoughtfully furnished, ensuring that sleeping under canvas at Vuma is a far cry from the usual discomfort associated with camps. Each tent is equipped with a shaded wooden veranda at the front and en suite bathroom facilities at the back, leaving little more to be desired.
Hodi Hodi Ruaha Safari Bush Camp | Ruaha National Park
Situated just outside Ruaha National Park in Southern Tanzania, Hodi Hodi Ruaha Safari Bush Camp is spread along a high ridge overlooking 50,000 square kilometres of acacia woodland and savannah, over the park, to the far edge of the great rift valley.
The bush camp features five double and two quadruple tents that offer breathtaking views and are fully solar-powered. The camp offers guests a bar and terrace restaurant, as well as a lounge and enticing plunge pool that overlooks a nearby watering hole.
Guests can enjoy exploring a private 200-acre area with a guide either by foot or in a car.
Full day game drives to explore the diversity of Ruaha National Park, picnic lunches, half day hikes around the camp area, cultural visits to our local village and bush sundowners will complete the itinerary of an unforgettable safari.
