Selous Impala Camp is well positioned overlooking the impressive Rufiji River. This grand East African river flows from south-west Tanzania through two national parks and spills into the Indian Ocean. The camp has wide access to the landscape in Nyerere National Park where you will discover nature, at its finest. Family Tent Meru Tent

Each of our luxury tents offers a distinct and charming feel with own unique and unspoiled view of the Rufiji River, creating the perfect space to view nature from the safety of a raised platform.

Polished wood interior floors create a luxurious outdoors feel, while a mix of eclectic and traditional furniture has been paired together to

create a stylishly comfortable home away from home. Well ventilated, protected from the elements and animals, and perfectly positioned

to enhance your viewing pleasure.

Locally sourced wood has been used in the bathroom designs, while small touches of locally-collected nature add a homely and

comforting touch. The water supply comes from the Rufiji River and is filtered, treated, and perfectly safe to use.

Both hot and cold water is freely available for showering.
Power is available in your tent twenty-four hours a day, fed by solar energy. There are power sockets installed in each tent for charging

electrics, LED lights, and a fan is included to provide cool relief from the glorious African sun. A combination safe is available in each tent.
Drinking water is preserved in a Stanley steel bottle throughout all times in the tent. With morning tea and coffee delivered to your tent, whilst enjoying the morning views.

Raised up on decking, each of the six Meru-style tents has a veranda with two chairs and a table from where you can enjoy the sanctuary of the Rufiji River and all the land that extends beyond.

Situated just outside Ruaha National Park in Southern Tanzania, Hodi Hodi Ruaha Safari Bush Camp is spread along a high ridge overlooking 50,000 square kilometres of acacia woodland and savannah, over the park, to the far edge of the great rift valley.

The bush camp features five double and two quadruple tents that offer breathtaking views and are fully solar-powered. The camp offers guests a bar and terrace restaurant, as well as a lounge and enticing plunge pool that overlooks a nearby watering hole.

Guests can enjoy exploring a private 200-acre area with a guide either by foot or in a car.

Full day game drives to explore the diversity of Ruaha National Park, picnic lunches, half day hikes around the camp area, cultural visits to our local village and bush sundowners will complete the itinerary of an unforgettable safari.

DOUBLE ROOMS Family Suites

5m x 5m, can be double or twin, teak flooring, 2m wide balconies, spaced along a ridge from the reception. Extra day-bed for a younger child.

Rooms 1-5 are named after the nearest tree to them - Winterthorn, Clusterleaf, Jackalberry, African Chestnut and Bushwillow.

Dry and open in the hot season (July - November) and lush in the green season (December - February).

Comprising two of the double / twin style rooms, connected by a 4 metre lounge with original artwork, and a long balcony, the family suites are in the same style as the double rooms - but longer! Perfect for a family of 4 or 5, or a group of friends. They are on the other side of the public area, looking into a marula grove frequented by bushbuck and elephants, with a steep ridge behind where baboon and klipspringers pass by. The to suites are named after the tree nearest them 0 Mahogany and Marula.
