Latitude 15° | Lusaka

22 May 2021 - 23 May 2021

Latitude 15° is an urban hotel on the tree-lined south-east side of Lusaka, 20 minutes from the city centre and half an hour from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Original artworks form the centrepiece in the lobby, hand-beaded textiles run through the bedrooms, and the furniture is handmade by local communities from upcycled and sustainable materials.

The rooms feature plush beds, walk-in showers and full-sized baths, and the two-bedroom suites are equipped with their own kitchens. The Other Side, a private members' club, is open to you during your stay, with a restaurant, heated 15-metre pool, gym, spa, and dedicated workspaces.

INSIDER'S TIP: Access to The Other Side provides an opportunity to experience a side of Lusaka beyond the usual hotel environment, with dining, wellness facilities and a social setting shared by both visitors and local members.

Nsefu Camp | South Luangwa National Park

23 May 2021 - 26 May 2021

Nestled within the exclusive Nsefu Sector, overlooking one of the Luangwa River's most beautiful bends where elephants regularly wade across the water, Nsefu Camp is the birthplace of Zambia's photographic safari. Built in 1951, it remains one of Africa's most historic safari camps, lovingly preserving its original character while offering the comforts expected by today's traveller.

The Nsefu Sector itself has a remarkable conservation legacy. Proclaimed a Game Reserve in 1966 - five years before South Luangwa National Park was officially gazetted - it has long been celebrated as one of the finest wildlife areas in Africa, renowned for exceptional game viewing, diverse habitats and prolific predator sightings. Robin Pope Safaris took over the camp in 1998, carefully restoring and upgrading it while retaining the timeless charm that makes Nsefu so unique.

Today, Nsefu welcomes just twelve guests in six spacious brick-and-thatch rondavels, each with en-suite facilities and uninterrupted views across the Luangwa River. From the privacy of your veranda, it is not uncommon to watch elephants crossing the river, hippos wallowing below and an ever-changing procession of wildlife passing by—arguably one of the most iconic views in South Luangwa.

Nkwali Camp | South Luangwa National Park

26 May 2021 - 29 May 2021

Situated on our own private land, Nkwali Camp overlooks the South Luangwa National Park and a beautiful area of ebony woodland and open grassy plains. From the bar you can often see elephants crossing the Luangwa River, or watch them bathing in the waterhole near the thatched dining room. A plunge pool provides you with the ideal way to cool off during the hot season. Our comfortable and spacious chalets (including a honeymoon/family suite) are built of woven bamboo with thatched roofs with breath-taking views over the river. Each has a large en-suite bathroom, imaginatively designed and open to the elements. Throughout the year we have direct access from camp to the National Park by boat. For a unique experience in the dry months, we operate a pontoon into the southern part of the area.

INSIDER TIP: Activities include walking, day and night game drives and cultural excursions.
