Okaukuejo is located 17 km from the southern entrance of the park, and famous for its flood-lit waterhole, where visitors can observe at close quarters a spectacle of wildlife congregating and interacting. Situated in the suburb of Klein Windhoek, Casa Piccolo is a small, tastefully furnished guest house, only a short walk from the nearest facilities or 5min drive from the Windhoek city centre. The modern shopping malls, restaurants, pubs and clubs, and medical and banking facilities, make this an ideal place to stay at either the beginning or end of a visit to Namibia. The quiet and peaceful garden is an excellent spot to relax and unwind after a hectic day in the city, or a long, dusty day behind the wheel. A dip in the swimming pool on a hot, summer's afternoon, is also a favourite alternative.
