Gwabi is a fishing lodge situated on the tranquil banks of the Kafue River undisturbed by passing boats. It offers eight en-suite air conditioned chalets, with DSTV and complimentary tea and coffee tray. Rooms accommodate two adults or three in a family arrangement. There is also a large shaded camping ground overlooking the Kafue River, fully equipped with socket points, lights, ablution blocks and braai facilities. At the main lodge there is an open bar with a large outdoor swimming pool. The friendly and talented safari team offers indoor/outdoor restaurant meals that accommodate up to twenty people, for breakfast, lunch and `a la carte candle lit dinner. Gwabi is the perfect location for a relaxed weekend away and family time together and is accessible throughout the green season, twelve months of the year. For bird watchers it is the ultimate spot to find over a hundred species of birds, with the help of the lodge’s talented safari guides. Gwabi River Lodge lends itself to supporting local communities; and all the staff come from the local villages and surrounding area. There is wireless internet and a computer available for guests to use.
