In the dry season between September and December, the rivers tend to hold so little water that boat trips are limited, with little or no access to the river channels. You are welcome to enquire about the boat cruise activities upon check-in. We make every effort to maintain the activity as long as water levels permit. The safety of our guests comes first.

Located on the outskirts of Rundu, this pre-primary school has 25 learners.The school’s buildings, wooden playground and ablution facilities were constructed and donated by the Gondwana Care Trust. Maintenance of – and school equipment have been provided as well. The school is also a beneficiary of the Back-to-School Christmas Bag Project.

This amazing National Park is only at 10 minutes drive from Divava Okavango Resort and offers guests a very good chance to spot four out of the Big Five!
Elephants, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard are very present in this park and easy to spot. This park is much smaller then the Etosha National Park and perfect to visit for only a few hours. Visiting Mahangu National Park is an absolute must! Visitors can do it with their own car and follow the roadsigns or take a guided tour with on of Divava Okavango's game drive vehicles.

Explore the river on either a small or large boat, heading down stream where you will see Hippo, Crocodile, an enormous variety of Birdlife and much more! The guide will tell you everything you wish to know about the amazing nature and wildlife in and around the river.
Just before sundown the cruise will head up stream from the Resort, to the Popa Falls to watch the sunset with some refreshments and snacks.
Fishing is another fun and unique activity at Divava Okavango Resort! Go out on the mighty Okavango River for a few hours and catch some on the world’s most unique species like Tigerfish, Tilapia and Catfish!
The Buffalo Game Park is possibly less well-known than the Mahango National Park but also definitely worth a visit.
The park has many narrow roads some of which may not be accessible year-round, as the Okavango can break its banks if we experience a good rainy season.
You might see Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodiles, Roan Antelope or one of the almost 400 bird species that have been recorded in West Caprivi.
The Popa Falls only qualify as a 'water fall' in Namibia, which has the distinction of being the driest country in Southern Africa. The Popa Falls is about 1.2km wide, and has a total drop off of about 4 meters.
However, this stunning setting creates the perfect ambience for a sun-downer boat cruise or island lunch.
The sound of the Popa Falls can be heard from Resort and provides the ideal soundtrack while relaxing in the Spa or enjoying dinner at the Restaurant.

Nkasa Lupala Tented Lodge | Nkasa Rupara National Park
Built on the banks of one of the many channels of the Kwando–Linyanti river system, this unique Namibian wetland paradise in the eastern Zambezi Region, commonly known as Mamili and was recently renamed Nkasa Rupara National Park.
The lodge is located on the northern unfenced park border, in the Wuparo Conservancy that is part of the successful and award winning Namibian conservation program followed by IRDNC and WWF.
Nkasa Rupara National Park is famous for its large herds of Elephants and Buffaloes. It has a high population of game that attracts all the major predators. This activity is the absolute highlight of the Nkasa Rupara experience, offering the best of both worlds. A game drive on Rupara Island, one of only two seasonal islands in the entire Nkasa Rupara National Park, and an exclusive boat cruise on a remote and pristine stretch of the Linyanti river system, which forms the border between Namibia and Botswana.
The wildlife is completely unhindered here, so animal sightings will differ from season to season, as the wildlife migrates between Namibia and Botswana.
This activity lasts about 5.5 hours.
Game Drives to the Mamili National Park, Mudumu National Park and Wuparo Conservancy depart in the afternoon and mornings offering fantastic game viewing opportunities surrounded by wilderness. We conduct village tour for our guest to visit a homestead part of the Wuparo Conservancy. We also go to the local school and if possible we visit the local Traditional Authority. This should be a real experience and we change homesteads every visit.
Our Walking safari is conducted by our guides and an armed community ranger. This experience requires a certain degree of physical fitness and is available on request. The duration is approximately 2 hours and includes soft drinks and water.
Guided walks are conducted through the exclusive zone of the Wuparo conservancy with Minimum participants of 2 and 6 as maximum.
The activity is subject to safety conditions
This activity is preferred in the dry winter months. We will drive searching for those elusive animals that because of their habits can be observed only by night. Departing after dinner and duration of approximately 1 hour

Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi.
The close proximity to Victoria Falls International Airport, Livingstone International Airport and Kasane International Airport makes it easily accessible, with daily road transfers or charter flights connecting all these airports with Chobe Safari Lodge.
