Indulge in a full day Game Drive in Arusha National Park, located just a 30 minute drive from Siringit Villa. Arusha National Park is characterized by a number of different habitats: Mini-savannas, Mount Meru, the seven lakes of Momela that provide an ideal environment for birds, and Ngurudoto crater. The most commonly sighted animals are Buffalo, Zebra, Giraffes, Water hogs, Waterbucks, Dik dik, and Baboons.

The Horse Riding takes place in a very special setting, on a protected Wildlife estate. While exploring the many bush trails found here, you may come across Zebra, Eland, Wildebeest, Thompson Gazelle, Dik dik just to name a few. Regularly seen on the estate is one of the most elegant mammals found in Tanzania, the Gerenuk. Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp's prime location allows guests to be in the midst of the drama of the annual Great Migration calving season, which occurs January - March. An evolutionary phenomenon, in the short span of just a few weeks some 400'000 calves are born while the herds reside in the Southern Serengeti region. The event attracts numerous predators, and visitors to the area have the opportunities to witness one of the grandest shows in nature.

When the herds of wildebeest and zebra have left on their journey back north, what remains in the area is an abundance of wildlife and excellent game viewing year-round. A rocky outcrop with great historical significance to the Maasai people, Moru Kopjes features ancient maasai paintings on many of its boulders. Another fascination of the kopje, are the gong rocks, a geological phenomenon of rocks that produce musical sounds when hit, which were used as a communication tool by the Maasai people.

Outing to Tloma, a nearby village, where you have the opportunity to meet a local family and learn about Iraqw culture and traditional ways of life. Discover the age-old process of making pots, try your hand at pounding grain and taste the local brew.

Visitors can donate a school desk, engraved with their own special message and personally deliver it to the school whilst staying at Gibb’s Farm. The material is purchased locally and our carpenters expertly build the desks to specifications after which they carefully engrave the guest’s message by hand. Guests are welcome to join our carpenters for an afternoon in the workshop and assist with

the crafting of the desks.

Meet the students and teachers at Tloma Primary School and learn firsthand about the successes and challenges of education in rural Tanzania.

On this two-hour hike through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will discover a magnificent waterfall and incredible “elephant caves” created by elephants digging up the earth to ingest the vitamin-rich soil. You may see buffalo, bushbuck, waterbuck and baboons, also attracted by the soil.

Fundu Lagoon is a diver’s paradise and hosts its own five star PADI dive centre offering courses as well as everything that more experienced divers might need. The water around Pemba includes a stunning range of pristine sites, from turquoise shallows to hundred meter coral drop offs and the island's remote location means that you can have the entire ocean to yourself when you go out to explore Pemba’s hidden underwater treasures.

Relax with a glass of wine or cold beer and refreshments aboard our traditional dhow as we sail into

the sunset with up to 16 guests. Private cruises offer a romantic touch, with a bottle of champagne

and fresh canapes.

The best time to enjoy the energy and excitement of the resident dolphin pods is early in the morning when impressive spinner dolphins jump and display. Take the boat out and see who joins you on your trip before returning to the hotel for breakfast.

Explore the best views of the local mangrove forests during the cooler moments of the day. Kayaks are available from the Dive Centre and our team are on hand to give you advice on the best routes to take as you set out to explore for yourself.

Within walking distance of the resort are three traditional local villages. Our staff can show you around the unique clay houses, banana and cassava plantations as well as the local fruit and vegetable plots farmed by families. Guests are asked to dress modestly when walking outside the resort and to seek permission before taking photos. Donations are best given to the villagers via the collection point in Fundu Lagoon’s reception area.

Pemba has a long history and its capital city Chake Chake includes a museum and an old Portuguese fort. Custom-made tours can be arranged to explore the city or alternatively tour across the island to discover the heady atmosphere of spice plantations and visit the diverse nature on the island at Ngezi forest and Kidike where flying foxes abound.

Cruise up a meandering creek at high tide and walk-through local farmland to find the atmospheric and rarely visited ruins of one of the first settlements on Pemba Island where ornate carvings are being reclaimed and covered by jungle roots and foliage.

A traditional ceremonial custom for brides on their wedding day, relax and enjoy the artistry of decorating hands and feet with beautiful henna designs and braiding hair into unique styles.
