The seven spacious guest rooms are stylish yet comfortably furnished, with a range of guest amenities and fixtures to ensure a pleasant stay. Breath-taking views of the mountain peak can be viewed from some of our rooms.
The communal areas on the property include two indoor lounges which are comfortably furnished and decorated to create a tranquil, relaxed atmosphere, and the outdoor entertainment area on the deck. There is also an outdoor fire pit around which guests can gather to do a spot of star gazing in the southern skies - away from the bright lights of the city. The sparkling swimming pool in the garden is the ideal place to lie back on a lounger and enjoy the Tsitsikamma sunshine.
Breakfasts are served in our light and airy dining room from 07:30 until 10:00 every day. Guests can enjoy our hearty, home-cooked meals, created with local ingredients and lots of love. If you need help planning your day, our highly motivated staff will be only too pleased to assist you. They will also make reservations at restaurants in the village for your evening meal.

No children under the age of six permitted on our game drives, we can accommodate in closed game vehicles instead.

Every evening, guests are invited to gather in the boma for pre-dinner drinks hosted by Clive, our General Manager. As the day softens into dusk, it's a relaxed moment to unwind, share stories and enjoy the warmth of the fire under the African sky.
Perched above the valley, the swimming pool invites guests to slow down and savour the beauty of the landscape. Framed by sweeping views and the sounds of nature, it is a peaceful space to relax between activities.
Head off on an adventure with one of our guides. Routes range from beginner to advanced. Cost: R650pp for a 1 ½ hour ride. Includes e-bike rental and water. Min 1, max 3 Guests.

These walks focus on the environment, fauna and flora on the reserve, as well as discovering the smaller insects and birdlife.

Dusk & Dawn, our mountainside restaurant at Camp Figtree, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking breathtaking views over the Zuurberg Mountain Range.

Our Mission
Why African Penguins Are in Serious Decline
The species is facing one of the steepest population drops of any seabird in the region. The causes are well documented:
- Fewer than 10,000 breeding pairs remain in South Africa.
- Commercial fishing has reduced sardine and anchovy numbers, leaving penguins without reliable food sources.
- Nesting habitat has been damaged or lost, and breeding sites are constantly disturbed.
- Oil spills and other forms of marine pollution continue to harm adult birds and chicks.
- Heatwaves and severe storms increase mortality, especially in young birds.
These pressures are ongoing. Without active intervention and vigorous support for African penguin conservation, these critically endangered birds may disappear from the South African coastline within our lifetime.
