Chundu Island is a 1.4km long island on the mighty Zambezi River, only 21km from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and located within the Zambezi National Park.

Accommodation consists of eight spacious rooms, constructed on raised wooden decks, and clad with a double wall of canvas and generous windows, ensuring panoramic views. Each room has a walk-in wardrobe, ensuite bathroom and an outdoor shower with a river-view, a private deck with daybed, a fan and table and chairs. Chundu has 6 Riverview rooms and 2 family suites.

The main area boasts a lounge, with its bar, wine cellar, fireplace and sprawling deck perfectly situated to view the sun setting over the Zambezi and is the ideal place to end the day. Meals are served in the lodge’s dining area and guests can relax at the swimming pool, while looking out for wild life on the banks of the river.

Activities offered at Chundu include walking safaris within the Park, island walks, canoeing on the Zambezi River, sunset boat cruises, leisure fishing, and game drives in the National park.

Situated on a private concession bounded by the Masuwe River and Zambezi gorges, The Elephant Camp has breath-taking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray and the spectacular gorges that separate Zimbabwe from Zambia. 

The Elephant Camp is a luxury and intimate lodge under canvas within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities, yet secluded in its own private game reserve so as to allow close-up encounters with wildlife.

The Elephant Camp offers exclusive accommodation with 12 suites in the main camp and an additional 4 suites at Elephant Camp West, as well as an on-site spa.  All suites face the gorge and offer a private viewing deck, plunge pool, private lounge area, air-conditioning & fans, complimentary mini bar and tea and coffee stations. The en-suite facilities include a bath as well as an inside and outside shower.

Guests can enjoy sundowners at the Batoka Gorge, scheduled birding & nature walks on the concession and meeting the Wildlife Trust Elephants are also included in the rate. The Elephant Camp offers village tours and a visit to the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust. One guided Tour of the Falls (excluding Rainforest Entry Fees), one Victoria Falls Canopy Tour and unguided cycling through Victoria Falls town are included in your visit.

Sable Valley Lodge | Hwange National Park

Sable Valley is situated at the edge of Hwange National Park, on a secluded private concession just off the famous Dete Vlei, home to the Presidential Elephant herd.

The lodge offers 11 rondavels that can accommodate up to 22 people, each room is ensuite with a shower, toilet & handbasin.

The lodge boasts a large main area under thatch, opened up to the Vlei, resulting in the best possible panorama of the ever-changing flora & fauna. The main area houses the restaurant, bar and lounge areas. 

Activities on offer at Sable Valley include game drives in the Hwange National Park and on the concession, and guided tours of the Painted Dog Conservation centre. The Amalinda star bed can be booked as an add on at  Sable Valley and sleeps two people.

Verney’s Camp is situated in the south-central part of Hwange National Park, on a remote private concession of 10 000 hectares. It is a beautiful amphitheatre fringed by teak forest that opens up onto a waterhole that is a playground to the famous elephant herds of Hwange.

The camp comprises of ten classic style tents, two of which are family tents. All are at ground level set on wooden decks and each tent is tastefully furnished, with en-suite bathrooms comprising shower, toilet and double basins. 

Natural paths lead to the main camp areas where the dining area, lounge and boma overlook a waterhole. 

Activities include day and night game drives, bird-watching, guided walks with armed rangers (guide availability dependent) and shorter cultural visits to villages nearby.  A half day tour to a local school in the national park may be arranged, the tour also stops at a small village, and the Wild Dog Research Centre.

Fothergill Island | Matusadona National Park

Fothergill Island is situated in a Mopani Forest on the large floodplains of Matusadona National Park.
The wildlife and environment across the lake, flood plains and into the mountains of the Matusadona National Park are diverse with a variety of plains game and predators, excellent birdlife, and abundant photography opportunities.

Fothergill Island comprises two separate but linked camps, consisting of a total of 10 spacious and luxurious tented suites. The Lake and Bush Suites comprise of five suites, with an en-suite bathroom, some of which include an outside shower or large bathtub with a spectacular view. Each of the suites feature a private lounge, outdoor seating area, as well as a private plunge pool.  There are two family suites which in addition to all of the standard suite inclusions include a second bedroom with matching en-suite facilities and a spacious central reception area.

The island’s main area consists of an intimate central lounge, dining, bar and outside area overlooking a private pool which are all linked by raised walkways that wind through the landscape, trees and shrubbery to three tented luxury suites. Within these luxury suites there are four poster beds and warm embracing interiors that have been established on raised platforms with secluded decks and exceptional views of the Island accompanied by intimate glimpses of Lake Kariba.

Sitting atop a hill commanding magnificent Lake Kariba vistas, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is the ultimate "rest and relaxation" retreat located 55km south west of Kariba town. The lodge stretches out towards the lake where elephant and buffalo graze on the shoreline below with zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and impala. In Matusadona National Park nearby, one might spot black rhino, leopard or lion on the prowl.
  
Bumi Hills Safari Lodge offers 10 lakeview suites each offering a view of the lake and wildlife can be seen grazing on the shoreline. Facilities in the rooms include en-suite bathrooms, overhead fans, air-conditioning and a balcony or veranda. The two bedroomed Boabab Villa offers privacy to groups and families.

The main lodge areas include a lounge, dining room, a game room as well as a terrace bar overlooking the lake. Other facilities include an infinity swimming pool and a spa offering panoramic views of the lake. 

The Lodge offers a variety of activities which include game viewing in open safari vehicles, on foot accompanied by a professional guide and by boat. The sunset cruise provides guests with wonderful photographic opportunities especially of the famous Kariba sunsets and the hide enables you to observe the animals at first hand and offers superb bird watching. Casual fishing is also available thus giving you the chance to challenge the lake's fierce fighting tiger fish.
