The Majlis Hotel is a privately-owned 25 room boutique hotel with superb seafront views over the Ras Kitau bay and Shela village. The Royal suite is an apartment of 260 square meters located on the first floor of the historic Majlis main villa. The Royal suite is composed of a living room, one big veranda and two junior suites, each with an ensuite bathroom. Tastefully designed and decorated with tailored fittings, all rooms evoke the East African heritage with doors and furniture hand-carved according to the local Lamu tradition.
