Discovery Bed & Breakfast is located in a quiet residential area near the Thamalakane River in Maun. The unique chalets and rondavels are comfortable, spacious and traditionally decorated, equipped with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, private bathrooms and outdoor seating. The chalets feature terraces and tea/coffee facilities. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast served daily and relax in the evenings at the firepit with a refreshing drink from the bar. Feeling adventurous? Then join us on an authentic African adventure that takes you deep into the heart of the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonder of epic proportions. From the low vantage point of a dugout canoe – known locally as a mokoro – you’ll experience a local tradition that has defined the way safaris are run in the Okavango Delta. Accompanied by polers, who share their local heritage and in-depth knowledge of the area and its flora and fauna, you will enjoy a privileged insight into this otherwise inaccessible wilderness.
Our mokoro trails into the Okavango Delta range from a half-day excursion up to five nights camping out under the vast African sky. As you explore the idyllic channels, lagoons and remote islands, our knowledgeable guides share insight into the wild and wonderful world around you. The guides have a wealth of knowledge of the area and eagerly share the stories of their people and related folk-tales. Their first-hand experience of the area’s wildlife is an incredible gift they readily share, as they pole along the unspoiled waterways.

Nokanyana offers some of the best game viewing in the world, with exceptional game drive opportunities in the area. Extending from the Okavango River, the Khwai River forms part of the northern border of the Moremi Game Reserve. Nokanyana overlooks the spot where the Khwai and Mababe Rivers join, creating a beautiful environment in which to relax and watch the wildlife pass by.
Ten luxurious tents are positioned on the banks of the Khwai River where an abundance of wildlife can be found.
