Kongoni Game Valley Lodge has all the comforts of a classic safari lodge. It is an intimate yet spacious colonial house with 5 en suite double rooms, two guest cottages, dining room, indoor lounge, TV room, and a large veranda and outdoor sitting room leading out towards a swimming pool and an immense green lawn, a favorite, grazing ground for warthog, antelope, zebra, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and many other animals. The house is lavishly decorated and has its own unique style of African adornments and antiques; it has the feel of your very own luxury wilderness home.
Using fresh local ingredients, theirr chefs prepare delicious meals served on the veranda as a buffet-style at lunch, and formal service at supper in the dining room. Bush meals can be prepared for guests to enjoy under the trees and stars or at a viewpoint while out exploring.

Hammerkop Migration Camp is an intimate classic safari camp in the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, on Paradise Plains by the banks of the Mara River.
The camp is within easy reach of all wildebeest crossing on the Mara River as well as the Musiara Swamp which is famous for its leopards.
In this bush-land wilderness, the exclusive camp brings guests closer to nature, with the peace and tranquillity of the unique natural environment of the Mara.
With photographer particularly in mind, our mess tent has a special area for use of computers, laptops, and camera charging points.
Being a small camp, our guests have the opportunity to experience a peaceful stay within a wildlife reserve with like-minded travelers.
The closest airstrip is Musiara Airstrip, only 7 kms away. We encourage the use of 4x4 vehicles, especially during the rainy season. Other vehicles can access the camp in dry season.
Hammerkop Migration Camp has a total of 8 tents which makes it a very private and personalized camp.
The camp is located on the horseshoe of the Mara River which thrives with wildlife and birds and has resident hippos and crocodiles.
Your game-drive commence immediately you leave the unfenced camp with barely any distance covered before reaching wildlife viewing areas. A major crossing point for the ‘‘migration’’ is a mere 200 meters down from the camp.
Our experienced safari chef provides delightful meals and freshly baked bread each day, and our camp staff is on hand to make everyone’s stay as comfortable as possible.
‘‘I couldn’t have had a better experience than Hammerkop in the Masai Mara. The tents were huge, clean and comfortable. There were only 8 of them so a much more exclusive experience compared to others. The Spanish Camp Manager Carmen Gomez and her Masai colleagues took great care of me, taking extra care to make sure all my logistics were sorted out. John was an excellent driver and guide, leading us to many rare animals. The food was delicious and the Masai staff protecting us and taking care of us very kind.
