Sedia Riverside Hotel has been designed to be in harmony with nature, built between the natural vegetation associated with its riverine open woodland setting. The abundance of trees, plants and accompanying undergrowth sustain the many species of smaller mammals and reptiles but the property is particularly special to birders as there is an abundance of species that reside around the property.
It is only a short 5min drive away from Maun International Airport.

At the Sedia you can relax and unwind whilst enjoying swift personalized service at the same time. There is a meet and greet/lounge area at reception, restaurant, terrace bar with TV and outdoor dining area.

The large swimming pool is surrounded by a raised teak deck and shaded by an enormous jacaranda tree, where you can enjoy meals and refreshments.

There is a choice of accommodation featuring twenty-four rooms and ten cottages. All of the rooms/cottages have close-by parking spaces which allow for unpacking and repacking before your onward journey.

An en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, super king-sized beds, ceiling fans, LCD TV’s with DSTV hotel package satellite channels, a fridge and tea/coffee station are standard.

Mogogelo Camp is located in the beautiful Mogogelo Valley in the private Sankuyo Community Concession and offers a classic bush camp experience. The wonderful location, coupled with exciting game viewing, is complemented by comfortable, spacious Meru tents with private bathrooms and a shower. Each tent has a shady front deck from which you can enjoy nature to the fullest and with all privacy. The thatched main lodge has a lounge and a swimming pool, which provides refreshment in the midday heat. A boma (fire pit) is accessible via a wooden walkway and centre after sunset and an exciting day in the bush. Highlight of the camp is the permanent waterhole, which attracts a wide variety of wild animals from the Okavango Delta to the area.

Tent

Accommodation at Mogogelo is in 10 classic Meru-style canvas tents, raised on wooden decks and with en-suite bathrooms and private decks on each tent. All rooms stretch out alongside the communal area, and each has a view of the waterhole and the Okavango Delta wildlife that frequents the area in front of camp.

Each canvas tented bedroom has either a king-size or two twin beds with characteristic wooden frames and headboards, complete with crisp, white linen and mosquito canopies. Simply decorated with a practical wardrobe, writing desk, and bedside tables, rooms are functional, comfortable, in tune with the bush.

There are en-suite bathrooms at the back of each tent leading from the bedroom through a zip-up canvas door. Each has a shower, flushing toilet, and a basin set in a handcrafted wooden vanity station, complete with a mirror and a plug socket for electric shavers.

Game Drive Night Drive

Discover the wild and unique landscape of the Okavango Delta on twice daily game drives, which depart at sunrise in the mornings and again in the late afternoon to overlap with sunset. Wildlife encounters include getting up close with elephant, buffalo, and lion, while the experience of having sundowners at a scenic spot in the bush mid-game drive is an iconic element of safaris in southern Africa.

Heading out in the game viewer after dark brings the night life of the Okavango Delta into focus. Night drives are only possible in the privacy of a concession, making this a sought after and special activity at Mogogelo. Leopards and lions are more active at night, while nocturnal creatures like civet, porcupine, honey badger, and jackal are likely to be seen, so this is one not to be missed.

The dining experience at Mogogelo includes three course dinners served at the thatched dining area, where tables are set up uniquely for each group of guests. Delicious cooking by the Motswana kitchen team and served with a selection of refreshments in with the open air of the Delta around you.

Look forward to an exciting adventure in the midst of the wilderness. A specially arranged tented camp will pamper you with exclusive wildlife experiences, rustic comfort far from civilization, and a romantic fireside atmosphere once the sun has disappeared over the horizon. All tents are high enough to be walked into and equipped with twin beds. Mosquito nets, as well as comfortable blankets and pillows, ensure a restful sleep. The tent area also features a bedside table and a solar-powered lantern. Seating is provided at each tent entrance. Enjoy the untouched nature and unique bush landscape undisturbed early in the morning or between safari activities. Each tent is also equipped with a shower and a separate safari-style toilet. A team of rangers and a cook ensure your safety and well-being, alongside extensive game viewing.

The Chobe Marina Lodge is located in the North-eastern corner of Botswana and has wonderful views over the Chobe River, and Chobe National Park. It is situated close to the Kasane Forest Reserve, the Caprivi Strip and Victoria Falls is just 70km (43.5 miles) away.

The Reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, such as many Elephants, especially towards the end of the dry season, as well as the legendary Fish Eagle along the waters of the Chobe River. Chobe Marina Lodge's lush expansive gardens teem with an abundance of birdlife as well as smaller animals, including Warthogs, Squirrels, Mongooses and Vervet Monkeys who go about their daily feeding rituals amongst the age-old Ebony trees.
