MONA Pavilions is a unique opportunity to stay close to the trendy subterranean Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in the greater Hobart area’s most sophisticated, modern accommodation available. Close to Berriedale’s beach and trendy restaurants, this is the perfect rest stop for those interested in cosmopolitan luxury.
This boutique hotel boasts eight unique rooms, each inspired by a famous Australian architect or artist and features artwork loaned from the MONA collection. While the experience of staying at this hotel is not unlike sleeping in an art installation, thoughtful details like king beds with 400-threat count sheets and Aesop bathroom products create a warm, inviting space to relax in.
The building also features an indoor infinity pool with striking views of the Derwent River. While on the MONA complex, guests can dine at The Source Restaurant where the focus is on shared plates and fresh, seasonal produce. Guests can also relax with a drink at the Wine Bar.
Our team suggests the MONA Pavilions for travellers interested in a chic getaway or want unadulterated, private access to the MONA (which is available on certain days to guests of the Pavilions).
