As a working wine farm, here imagination meets immense skill through an exploration of curiosity. Brookdale Estate is also home to a Tasting Room, Bistro and a state-of-the-art Wine Cellar, which overlooks a portion of the vineyards. Here, Mediterranean varieties, a unique Paarl terroir and innovative winemaking techniques are brought together under the visionary hand of owner, Tim Rudd and winemaking duo, Xander Sadie and Shanice du Preez.

The Manor House
The Manor House has 5 Manor Suites and 1 Vineyard Suite (located adjacent to the main house) accommodating 12 adults and 2 children. These suites can be booked separately for a romantic stay, or as a 6-bedroom exclusive-use Villa in the Winelands, ideally suited for friends and family.
Discover the vineyards with leisurely walks and picnics, enjoy sundowners overlooking the valley and sit back and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Our perfect location means you are close enough to explore the best of the Cape Winelands whilst being far away enough to fully enjoy the tranquility of a private villa stay with the services of a private chef and house manager. Explore the Estate acre by acre on foot. You’ll feel the wonderful freedom and peace of solitude in an open landscape, filled with moments of reflection.
For those who enjoy the time with their mountain bike, bring yours along for a vineyard exploration. While Brookdale Estate does not have formal trails, you are encouraged to explore on your own. The views are endless with 67 hectares of land to explore.
The Manor House offers in-room spa treatments ranging from massages, manicures to pedicures to ensure that you are feeling relaxed and pampered! Bookings in advance is essential.
The workout space is tucked off to the side of the Manor House, with easy access to enjoy a heart-pumping session. Complete with a selection of free weights, endurance rowing machine, elliptical machine, stationary bike, bench, yoga ball and yoga mats, find the perfect speed and intensity for you. Guests have 24-hour access to the space for a workout at any time of the day or night to ensure all your fitness needs are met. Take the yoga mat out for a sunrise or sunset salutation on the terrace with views over the valley for the perfect start or end to your day.

The iconic Taal Monument is located on a hill that gazes out over the Paarl Valley. Taal, meaning ‘language’, was built in October 1975 to commemorate Afrikaans being declared an official language of South Africa, separate from Dutch. Not only is its location surrounded by incredible views, but it also has hiking and biking trails with walks that can be done from the monument to a close-by rock feature.
