Vineyard Hotel | Cape Town

Originally built by Lady Anne Barnard in 1799, the Vineyard Hotel has beautiful views of the forested slopes of Table Mountain.  The Hotel is a 10-minute drive from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.  A free shuttle service is provided within a 1.6 km radius from the hotel, which includes the Cavendish Shopping Center and Newlands Stadium.

This 207 roomed hotel is situated in six acres of landscaped parkland in the suburb of Newlands on the banks of the Liesbeek River.  The establishment offers rooms ranging from single to family suites, both mountain and courtyard facing, all with free high-speed internet access and WiFi is available in the public areas.

It has two restaurants. The glass-roofed ‘the Square’ restaurant caters for breakfast and dinner, while Myoga restaurant offers lunch and dinner with views of the garden and Table Mountain.  For lighter nourishment there is also the Splash Café (a contemporary health bar).

Guests can relax at the heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, adjoined by the Health & Fitness Centre, or visit the “Vineyard Shop” (a clothing and gift boutique).  (ITT)
