Tanzanite Experience specialises in authentic, ethically-mined Tanzanite gemstones and jewellery. Tanzanite, a beautiful blue stone, is said to be a 1000 times rarer than diamonds.

A delightful gourmet cafe selling freshly ground coffee and fresh-baked cakes either 'to go' or served on Kahawa's shaded terrace.

Take a picnic lunch and enjoy an excursion to the slopes of Mt Meru where Arusha National Park is located. The park enjoys an abundance of birdlife, and quite a variety of wildlife. The landscape within its relatively small 137km2 is impressively varied and offers some spectacular views.

A day excursion to Arusha National Park is an additional cost to accommodation.

Arusha is a bustling town with one of the fastest growing populations in Africa. Shopping and cultural experiences are on offer, including Masai Markets, the Tanzanite Museum, Museum of Natural History and Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre, plus a variety of boutique gift shops, cafes and restaurants.

While a short one night stay is spectacular, it is recommended at lodge for 2, 3 or even for nights. The lodge is more than just a safari stop over, due to its location and design it is a destination too and it offers several interesting safari game drives and excursions that start early and end at the lodge just before the magical sun-downer at the lodge. The sun-downer at the Lodge is one of it kinds. The ever inviting fireplace pit by the swimming pool where the Swahili lessons with fun are offered by our staff.

Billiards’ Room has the snooker table where other indoor games are available to enjoy with family and friends at our lounge.

The little Explorer’s Club is the children point of interest by choice. Children will find here all lots of fun from the toys to the amusing children’s programs.

We have Movie Theater where we have movie nights and the guides can arrange a short clip of the documentary on the next day anticipated adventure in one of the trendiest ways with recliners and big screen.

These are the same stars that guide the Masai Nomads to greener areas for their livestock. However, the best viewing of constellation can be seen from the boma. Grab a night cap and join us outside under the African sky.

This is taught by a traditional Massai and cover the lifestyle of the locals including fire making lessons traditional dancing and singing as well historical background on livestock

Hide away table for dinner under the umbrella tree with candle lit, special natural flowers on the table and bed with a chilled bottle of sparkling wine, including masai fire lights

The village walk starts from the Lodge gates towards the village of Kibuweni - this is about a 20 to 30 minute walk. During the walk you will be introduced to the surrounding area by stopping at the main bore hole where villagers get their daily water supplies, a sunflower plantation and a dried river bed. This is home to many different types of animals and plants - many of these plants are used in local medication. You will pass a local farm that has livestock with which you can interact with whilst on the walk.

Many different farms are passed along the way and you will be exposed to the lifestyle of the locals. Finally we reach the village of Kibuweni and are welcomed by dancers and the Village Elders. You will then be entertained with a play which is played out by the Village Members and is about the famous love story of the area. The story is related through song and dance.

After the play you are introduced to the traditional foods of the area and taught how to prepare these dishes. You will then be invited to pound the Millet (Kinu) and milk the cows. You are free to join in with the local villagers and prepare their meals with them.

The Nature trail starts at the north end of the Lodge through a dense forest. It is a great opportunity to learn about the plants, birds, small mammals and herbal medication with our resident Naturalist and Masai Warrior.
