Kanana Camp is set in the southwestern reaches of the Okavango Delta, where lush grass-covered islands rise from fertile, eroded termite mounds. This area, northeast of the Pom Pom lagoon, is crisscrossed by the meandering channels of the Xudum River. It’s a spectacularly scenic corner of the delta, marked by open lagoons, reed-fringed waterways, and a scattering of fig, palm, and jackalberry trees. The environment is constantly shifting with the water levels, creating a dynamic safari experience where land and water activities alternate with the seasons.
The camp features eight large safari-style tents, including a family unit, all built to blend seamlessly with the surrounding vegetation. Shaded by ebony, acacia, and sausage trees, the tents are well-spaced for privacy, with en-suite bathrooms. Raised wooden decks offer guests peaceful views of the surrounding bush and channels, making each tent a quiet, immersive hideaway.
The main area is built on raised decking that wraps around ancient trees, creating a natural and inviting space to relax between activities. Guests can gather in the open-sided lounge or enjoy meals in the dining area, with a cocktail bar and plunge pool completing the relaxed and sociable atmosphere.
Activities at Kanana vary with the seasons and include day and night game drives, mokoro excursions, boating, guided walks, fishing, and sunset cruises. The camp also has access to a seasonal heronry, one of the delta’s rare birding treasures, where thousands of water birds—such as storks and Pel’s Fishing Owl—nest from July onwards.
For a truly memorable experience, guests staying two nights or more between April and November can pre-book the sleepout deck (at a surcharge) and spend a night under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the delta.

Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the famous Chobe River is Chobe Elephant Camp. This uniquely designed lodge has been built to take advantage of the incredible views overlooking the sweeping floodplains while offering a comfortable refuge from the harsh African conditions.
The lodge has been entirely constructed from sandbags, the thick sand-filled walls create a natural insulating barrier between the inhabitants and the harsh African climate and enhance the old farm-style feel of the camp. It houses sixteen rooms, two family rooms and can sleep 36 guests at a time.
Activities include viewing the regions spectacular wildlife from open safari vehicles and by boat on the Chobe River as well as a cultural visit. Chobe Elephant Camp’s seasonal boat jetty is about one hours drive from camp, close to Ihaha in the heart of the Chobe National Park. This jetty is usually operational from May until September, but when water levels are not adequate at the jetty, guests staying two nights or more will still be able to enjoy boat cruises departing from Kasane.
Chobe / Ngoma Gate
This property is located near the Ngoma Gate for entry to the Chobe Riverfront. Very few lodges are located on this end of the park and few people utilize this entry point, creating a more remote and exclusive experience than at the properties around Kasane. Although outside the park, this option is located in a bush setting where wildlife frequently passes through.
