Ladies Program offers the guest an activity to experience how to make Balinese offering. This activities includes:
1.CANANG SARI
It is the daily offerings made by Balinese Hindu. The term Canang has double meaning. It could be translated as beautiful purpose. "Canang means betel. In the past, betel was given to honor someone."However, Canang could also be divided into two words. Ca means beauty while Nang means purpose. So in a complete word Canang means beauty that offers for a purpose.
Canang is also decorated with flowers with five different colours. White flowers that point to the east represent Ishvara God. Then, the red flowers that point to the south represent Brahma. The yellow flowers that point to the west represent Mahadewa. The black or dark flowers that point to the north represent Vishnu. Lastly, the green flowers in the middle represent Shiva."The flowers in Canang also symbolize wisdom. Some of the flowers have fragrance, while the others don't have it. It is similar to life, some are good and some are not,”
2.Porosan
The most important item in Canang Sari is called Porosan. It is made from betel leaves, chalk and gambier. Porosan is placed in a bowl made from coconut leaves."Porosan is a symbolism of Trimurti figures in Hinduism which are Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva,” It is placed on the bottom part before we decorate canang with flower.
3.Kwangen
Kwangen drives from old Javanese vocabulary “Wangi” which means fragrant. Kwangen itself means fragrance that functions to scent the name of Supreme God. Kwangen is made from Kojong, porosan, lengis miik, flowers and 2 pieces of coin.
4.Sodaan
Sodaan is the bigger form of offering after canang sari. It is consists of rice and its companion e.g peanut and egg, banana, other kind of fruits, cake and on the top we placed sampyan and canang
After all the offerings finish, the guest will be taken to one of the hotel's temple and to experience how to pray in Hindu.
