Ellerman House | Cape Town

Ellerman House was created as a means to channel our passion for South Africa through art, wine, cuisine and sincere hospitality so that others may share in the beauty, bounty and diversity of our country. The spectacular location of Ellerman House, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the foot of Lion’s Head, is undoubtedly part of the property’s enduring allure. Its breathtaking position inspires calm serenity while being in close proximity to the Cape’s numerous attractions.

The charming boutique hotel you see today is an original Cape Edwardian mansion that was built in 1906 and has stood sentinel over Bantry Bay for more than 115 years. With only 13 bedrooms and two private villas, we excel at offering our guests a world-class level of service that is intuitive and understated. Ultra-luxurious facilities, incredible views and an atmosphere of refined comfort attract the most discerning travellers and keep them coming back, year after year. It is the feeling of home; of being enveloped in the beauty and warmth of a place that is at once exotic and familiar.

Londolozi Founders Camp | Londolozi Game Reserve

Founders Camp's rich history dates back to 1926 when the Varty family first established it, and it continues to uphold a legacy of conservation and family hospitality. At Founders Camp, historic meets modern. This Londolozi signature camp is clean, uncomplicated, and comfortable, leaving nothing forgotten. You will get the feeling of all the comforts of a stylish African home that is ideally situated to provide an insider’s view of the secrets of bush life. Founders Camp represents a safari style that is inviting and restful. Rooted in an ancient ‘wattle and daub’ methodology of building, this earthy design celebrates the natural raw elements of nature: rock, fire, wood and earth. Also in Founders Camp, one can find the yoga deck, a sanctuary for quiet contemplation beneath the shade of a 500-year-old ebony tree on the banks of the river.
