Cathedral Peak Hotel | Cathedral Peak Nature Reserve

Set in a World Heritage Site, the well known 4-Star family run hotel, Cathedral Peak offers luxurious accommodation, superb cuisine and warm hospitality.  The first guests were welcomed to the hotel on Christmas Day in 1939.  Since then the hotel has seen and heard many stories from hikers, who have tried to "Tame the Dragon", as the Drakensberg Mountains are called.  A host of activities that can be booked and paid for at the hotel include golf, horse riding, scenic helicopter flights, quad and mountain bikes, and daily guided walks to the Drakensberg Mountains.  Guests are also welcome to hike on their own without a guide.

The spacious, comfortable standard rooms are ideally situated in the hotel's beautiful gardens.  Each room has an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, television, fan, heater, telephone and private veranda.  The superior rooms accommodate 2 guests in either twin or double beds.  Each room has an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, a mini-bar fridge, flat-screen television, under-floor heating, telephone and a private veranda.  Adjacent rooms have an inter-leading door for family requirements.  The hotel’s facilities include a cocktail bar with mountain views, a Vitality Centre, a children’s dining-room, a fully-equipped modern conference venue hosting up to 200 people and a stone-and-thatch chapel seating 120 guests.  Babysitters can be organised.(ITT)
