The Namib Outpost is located in the Namib Tsaris Nature Reserve, a private nature reserve that is dedicated to protecting the unique and fragile desert environment.

Namib Outpost lies well off the main roads with views into the world-famous Namib- Naukluft National Park, home to the Namib Sand Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, Dune 45 and the Sesriem Canyon. The lodge offers relaxed hospitality with

SOSSUSVLEI EXCURSION
• Drive to the Sossusvlei dunes in a safari 4x4 vehicle accompanied by a Guide with in-depth knowledge of the area

The staff at Desert Homestead Lodge and Desert Homestead Outpost will be happy to organize all activities of other providers in the area.
An employee of the lodges informs the guests in detail about the start and departure times, depending on the season, as well as about meeting points, equipment, clothes etc. of the activities of the next day during the dinner.
For participation in afternoon activities, check-in is necessary until 2 pm. In the case of a later arrival, it is not possible to guarantee a performance or attendance due to the different start times.

EXPERIENCE THE NAMIB

DESERT ON HORSEBACK

For the more adventurous of spirit, Desert Homestead Lodge offers a unique experience where guests can ride out onto the private reserve and sleep out in nature. The reserve is situated in between the majestic red sand sea of the Namib Desert and the rugged Naukluft mountains.

Leaving the stables and lodge behind, an unforgettable journey set off through wide open plains riding over a varied terrain changing from soft, sandy, stretched open fields, to rockier mountain trails, through dry riverbeds, under social weavers nests and around camelthorn trees.

The experienced guide will eagerly tell more about the environment, fauna and flora. Riders are almost guaranteed to come across a herd or two of grazing Oryx, springbok, or Zebra and some varieties of smaller carnivores, such as Jackal and bat-eared foxes.

Riding takes place at a comfortable pace so that everyone feels comfortable. Slower riders can hang back while more experienced riders go for long stretched-out gallops over grassy plains while winding the way towards the tented Camp, where refreshments await for a truly remarkable sundowner with magnificent views. After watching the sunset over the majestic mountains it’s time to kick off the boots, relax and enjoy the Namibian night skies. While Dinner gets ready on the campfire true Namibian style a refreshing shower awaits.

Dinner is served next to the crackling fire whilst conversation is sure to revert to the days riding. Then it’s time to retire to the comfortable tent or even a stretcher outside, for those who prefer to sleep out in nature under starry skies to get some rest before the next day’s riding.

Riders will wake up the next morning to the smell of coffee brewing and bacon and eggs cooking over an open fire while watching the horses being prepared for the next stretch of riding. After a hearty breakfast, it is time to stretch the legs once again and set off on horses who eagerly await the rest of the adventure.

Swakopmund Luxury Suites offers stylish and modern accommodation situated in the heart of Swakompund. The accommodation is provided in light and airy rooms, all comfortably furnished. Crisp white interior and earthy elements, high quality bedding and stylish en-suite bathrooms define the rooms. Vingerklip Lodge nestles in a valley, near the rock formation from which it derives it's name. The 35m high pillar of sedimentary rock, the Vingerklip, (Finger Rock) is one of the most impressive rock formations in Namibia. It stands proudly above a valley, known as the Ugab terraces, mid-way between the Etosha National Park and Swakopmund in the heart of Damaraland. This is an excellent base to explore the many attractions of Damaraland, a vast beautiful wilderness in north-west Namibia. At Vingerklip Lodge there are 22 well-appointed, thatched bungalows, spread out along a hillside, including 1 luxury unit . 11 of the 22 bungalows are suitable for family-style holidays, with loft accommodation for two children. They each have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, mosquito nets and an in-room safe. The sheltered sundowner veranda has breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and is an ideal spot to watch the magnificent Namibian sun set.

The lodge’s hallmarks are luxury and plenty of privacy. This remarkable place is superbly suited for safari excursions into Etosha. The main building is surrounded by large, ancient mopane trees in a wild, but park-like setting. Upon entering the lobby with the bar and spacious seating areas, the eye is drawn through the open building to the vast savannah, where often enough the first animals can be spotted right then. The large infinity pool also offers fantastic views of the open plain in front of the lodge and the two waterholes. The best spot to enjoy the sunset with a drink of your choice. After that we will treat you to a delicious 5-course dinner in our restaurant.

Our spacious chalets have been integrated into nature with loving care. They are placed so far apart and aligned so cleverly, that there is no sign of a neighbor. Etosha Oberland is conveniently situated a 10km drive from the Andersson Gate, south of Etosha National Park – a good starting point for excursions in the Park with exciting game viewing experiences.

- Drive to the National Park on a safari 4x4 vehicle accompanied by a Guide with in depth knowledge of wildlife in the area. Departure varies seasonally, depending on park opening hours, and return around 14:00-16:00. The trips last for approximately 7-8 hrs.

Boat Cruise Game Drive Mahangu National Game Park Fishing Trip & a Cultural Village Tour Full Day Game Drive & Scenic Experience. to Okavango Delta - Heliflip

Take boat trips along the border of the Caprivi National Game Park, where you can see hippo, elephant, buffalo, crocodile and birds which include the White backed Night Heron and possibly the Pels Fishing Owl.

Enjoy a full game drive into the Buffalo Game Park where you have a chance to see bigger herds of buffalo, breeding herds of elephant and the Sharp Tailed Starling.

We can also take you to the Mahangu National Game Park where you could see, Sable Antelope, Roan Antelope, Letchwe, Reed Buck, Tsessebe, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard

We also offer fishing trips where you have a very good chance of catching Tiger fish, Barbel and Nembwe. If you want to stretch your legs you could join one of the local guides to take you on a 2 hour village tour where you can see how the Hambakushu people live everyday. Join us at a cultural tour to the local Kamutjonga village. Meet the traditional people and learn more about the Kavango culture.

This is a Full day combination of heli-flip, game drive and boat cruise with a picnic lunch thrown in, over the northern Delta.
The drive from Ndhovu Safari Lodge to Sepupa, where the Okavango Panhandle Heliport is located is about 95kms / 2 hours, including the border crossings.
For clients not wanting to take their vehicles into Botswana, the lodge can arrange for transfers (at an additional cost).
Clients need to arrive at the Heliport at 08:45 for a 09:00 departure.
From The Heliport, clients are taken on a heli-flip to Jumbo Junction, where they depart on a boat cruise.
The deep waters around Jumbo Junction mean that this is a year-round water-based activity.
At the end of the boat cruise, clients are dropped off at the game drive vehicle, where they will then have the opportunity for guided land-based game viewing.

Around 15:00 the helicopter lands next to the game viewer to fly clients back to the Heliport.
There is also the option for an additional 30 minute 'doors off' helicopter flight from Jumbo Junction, before heading to The Heliport. (at an additional cost).

Scenic Lianshulu Lodge, overlooking the tranquil Kwando River, is situated in remote Mudumu National Park in the Caprivi Strip - an elongated appendage to Namibia that is rich in history and wildlife. Lianshulu Lodge is often referred to as being in a region which is the Namibian equivalent of the Okavango Delta - with verdant floodplains and a network of interwoven rivers, lagoons and islands.

Game drives Guided Walks Fishing Boat Cruise

The lodge offers morning and afternoon game drives in open all wheel vehicles in the Mudumu National Park

Guided walks are also offered within the lodge vicinity and selected areas of the Park.

Fishing is on a catch and release basis

Boat cruises are offered during the morning just after sunrise, and in the afternoons after sunset for game viewing and birding on the Kwando River.

The Okavango River remains as one of the greatest water experiences of Africa. Taranga Safari Lodge is a luxury bush camp perched on the edge of this famous river. Situated on stilts amongst tall riverine trees the tented cottages are great vantage points from which to experience the magic of the area - the sights and sounds of the African bush and views across the river onto the nearby flood plains.

Daily guided river safaris taking you out for an adventure; an early sunrise cruise through the rising early morning river mist or a late afternoon sundowner or fly fishing. You may plan to go on a bushwalk, traditional village tour or choose to celebrate the end of a lazy day by spending memorable time at night around the fire pit stargazing.
