Adley House in Oudtshoorn is a magnificent Victorian home and was built in 1905 by Sidney Herbert Adley during the "Ostrich Feather Boom". Relax in our two swimming pools to cool you down on our lovely hot summer and winter days. Log fires in winter. Enjoy our evergreen, well-kept gardens and park in safety, in-house, on our large property of 5000 square meters. Fourteen large en-suite individually decorated rooms to make your stay a pleasant one. All rooms offer modern, quiet remote controlled air-conditioners, remote controlled channel TV, fully stocked fridges, tea and coffee trays, overhead fans and electric blankets, telephones and fax facilities. There is also a daily laundry service available.
Hilda bakes fresh bread or "Vetkoek" every morning - and in the evening, on request, we may braai (barbecue) or you can have a four course meal - real South African style. Ostrich steaks are our speciality!

Avoca River Cabins | Sundays River Valley
In the beautiful citrus and rose growing area of the Sundays River Valley, 20 minutes from the Addo Elephant Park, Dave and Judy Smith welcome you to their farm. Avoca, which means ' The meeting of the waters '. Ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers.
Fully-equipped chalets along the river. Sleeps two to five people. Two thatch and mud huts with a hot shower/toilet and a equipped ' Lapa ' (Kitchen) are situated alongside the river where there is an abundance of fish and bird-life. Plenty of scenic walks through the citrus orchards, and canoeing on the river , which is inclusive of the price.
A path leads down from the lush garden to a small bush camp overlooking the river where two wooden cabins nestle in a sheltered clearing. Each open plan cottage has a private hot shower/toilet and they share an equipped 'Lapa' kitchen and braai. The camp leads out onto a deck that looks out over the river and mountains. A great place for sundowners.
Gymnogene shares a place next to the wooden cabins nestled in a sheltered clearing - The Bush Camp. The self-catering equipped Chalet is open plan with en-suite toilet & shower. The unit has a balcony that overhangs the Sundays River.
We have access to a Full Day game drive on a neighboring game farm, which includes transfers, visit to the Addo Elephant National Park, lunch, game drive on the game farm, dinner, and a night drive. The wildlife includes Lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Giraffes and several Antelope. There is a Half Day experience also which only includes the private game farm.
Activities and facilities on this citrus farm include a swimming pool, trampoline, jungle gym and canoes on the river, short walks amongst citrus trees and the opportunity to do some fishing on your own.
Conference and small function facilities also available. Although our rates are per unit on the site we do welcome singles and couples to enquire about better options. Our self-catering units are not serviced, except by prior arrangement. Supper and breakfast can be arranged in advance at extra cost. Children and families are welcome.

The Bush Camp cottage is a wood construction open plan unit. Two units share an open-plan Lapa kitchen which is outside and next to the cottages. There is a shared / communal braai. The toilet & shower are private to each unit. Bedding & towels provided!
Gymnogene is an open plan chalet with en-suite toilet & shower, kitchenette, own braai and overhead fan. Bedding and towels are provided. The balcony overhangs the Sundays River. A private getaway!
There are two bedrooms, each with two beds and a mezzanine level with two beds. The accommodation is fully-equipped. Braai barbeque facilities are available. The toilet and shower facility is inside. The accommodation is close to the river.
This riverside chalet has sleeping place for 2 - 5 people. It has 3 single beds on the ground floor and 2 single beds up on a mezzanine level in the rafters of the thatch roof. A kitchenette, private braai facility and own shower and toilet are included

Central to all the amenities of Struisbaai and only 400 meters from the main swimming beach. The guest house is easily accessible and offers not only wonderful ambiance and comfort, but a feeling of having a home away from home.
Mermaid Guest House offers accommodation for 23 people. They have 6 sea view, en-suite bedrooms upstairs. They also have 2 family units located downstairs, without sea views, one unit is wheelchair friendly.
