Located in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya, Sunbird Lodge is an eco-friendly luxury lodge situated on private land on the shores of Lake Elementaita. The lodge is in close proximity to many popular attractions, including the famous Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Hells Gate National Park.

The lodge features 14 luxurious and spacious en-suite cottages, as well as two premium suites. The cottages feature large verandas, while the suites are equipped with whirlpools, fireplaces, and large verandas. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the on-site restaurant. Ilkeliani Camp, perfectly located on the Talek River and nestled within a riverine forest, creates an ideal backdrop for a memorable safari experience. The camp is divided into two wings, premium and deluxe, each offering distinct accommodations.

The premium wing hosts four rooms along with one premium family tent. The luxurious family tent, comfortably furnished with subtle lighting and elegant decor, enhances the overall safari atmosphere. Strategically placed within a grove of trees, each suite ensures complete privacy and has a separate private entrance.

The deluxe wing features six rooms and one family tent, which can comfortably accommodate four guests. Each room, minding the necessities for a unique safari outing, accentuates the little luxuries that ensure a comfortable stay for guests.

Our roomy tented suites, perched on stilts, provide sweeping views of the Talek River and golden plains of the Maasai Mara. Outfitted with expansive wooden decks featuring detachable canvas sides, guests can enjoy the seamless blend of comfort and an intimate connection with nature.

Set in beautiful surroundings, Mount Meru Game Lodge overlooks an expansive garden Sanctuary, home to water buffalo, peacocks, yellow-billed storks, ibis and a variety of monkeys, including the elusive white-tailed Colobus. All can be viewed at your leisure from the vantage point of our alfresco restaurant shaded by giant mature mango trees. Conveniently located just 30 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), the Lodge is the ideal start (or end) point for your northern circuit safari. The original farmhouse in which now stands our bar, lounge and dining room, was originally established as a family holiday home in 1959. The past two years have seen extensive renovations to the property: 4 new ensuite guest rooms built to bring our total to 24; a series of accessible walkways added; the installation of a view deck under the shade of a magnificent cactus tree overlooking the river; and the complete overhaul of the 20 existing rooms to reveal new bathrooms, heightened ceilings and refreshed decor. All while maintaining the historical feeling of our special property, and its hospitable heart. We are a family friendly (and family run) home away from home, where the comfort and happiness of our valued guests comes first.

Mount Meru Game Lodge offers unique ‘Cultural and Educational’ walks into Usa River, a small township of approximately 20,000 inhabitants located a few minutes on foot from the property. These walks provide a unique insight to our guests, without the nuisance factor of hawkers, on what authentic life for Tanzanians really entails. They are guided by our own staff, are offered free of charge to guests of the lodge and are very much appreciated by all who participate in them. (The walk takes about two hours).

This ride will take you through the farms and villages at the foot of Mount Meru and surrounding areas. Rides are generally 2 to 3 hours long and can be tailored to any fitness levels.

Mountain Biking 35 USD Per Person

Enjoy the coolness of the forest with lots of birds and monkeys overhead. Our naturalist will lead the way and explain the flora and fauna of the area (It Takes about 1½ - 2 hours).

Lake Duluti Walk 35 USD per person + 30 USD Transport per minibus (1 to 5 people)

This is in a small peaceful Crater Lake (Lake Duluti) that is located close to Arusha town. You will enjoy a 2 hour canoe ride while viewing water birds and the pristine surrounding forest.
It is the best way to spend a relaxing morning or lazy afternoon on water and in touch with nature.

Canoeing 35 USD per person + 30 USD for Transport per minibus (1 to 5 people)

Take a tour in a local coffee farm and learn how farmers plant coffee trees, take care of the plantation and pick ripe coffee berries. Experience different steps from drying, roasting and grinding. Make your own cup of coffee while enjoying a magnificent view of the Lake Duluti (two to three hours).

Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge is built on the site of the old Tamarind Camp. The lodge overlooks a floodplain that is a rich seasonal feeding ground for elephants and other animals. Guest accommodations feature 10 permanent tented cottages built in exactly the same style as the new Kirurumu Manyara Lodge cottages.

Mara Kati Kati is a mobile camp strategically situated in north Serengeti, ideal for exploring the Mara Ecosystem. The camp offers comfortable accommodation together with the unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari experience on a camp. In its comfortable tents, guests will feel completely immersed in the surroundings and able to enjoy and take in the rich animal life and vegetation of the area. The tents are situated at ground level with a private porch, overlooking the Savannah. Ample and comfortable, there is a choice of a double bed or two twin beds. It consist in, early in the morning pick up from the camp and transfer by road to the área where the balloons get ready.

After the flight, enjoy a bush breakfast in the savanah.
