African Bush Camps Khwai Lediba | Khwai Community Area

Located along the banks of the Khwai River in the Khwai Concession of Botswana, African Bush Camps is excited to announce the opening of Khwai Lediba, a luxury tented safari camp. The new lodge will accommodate up to 16 guests and will feature environmentally friendly tented accommodations equipped with modern furnishings and amenities. Each of the 6 double rooms and 1 family unit will have an en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, a private deck, luxurious bedding, and more.

The central camp includes a pool, dining area with an open kitchen, and bar with a sunken lounge. Meals, cocktails, and bubbly will be served indoors or al fresco on a deck surrounded by sycamore and leadwood trees with stunning views across the river.

Khwai Lediba is situated near the Moremi National Park and offers guests a front-row seat to the wildlife action of the oldest protected section of the Okavango Delta, known for its diverse wildlife population, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and more.

Activities at the camp include morning, afternoon, and night game drives, as well as walking and mokoro safaris (depending on water levels). The camp also offers the opportunity to visit the nearby Khwai village preschool as part of the African Bush Camps Foundation's community empowerment projects.

African Bush Camps Migration Expeditions | Nxai Pan National Park

Space is the new luxury and Migration Expeditions offers just that – the unbelievable calm that comes from gazing at the horizon and having space to yourself. Migration Expeditions is African Bush Camps first property situated in Nxai Pan National Park, Botswana. Nxai Pan is one of Makgadikgadi’s natural salt pans and is located on the northern border of the national park.

Open from December till the end of March, Migration Expeditions is accessible by road or helicopter from Maun. The intimate camp is made up of 4 luxury canvas tents set on low decks with en-suite bathrooms and bucket showers, and two main area tents consisting of the lounge and dining areas.

Nxai National Park is significant for Botswana’s iconic zebra migration which brings large herds of zebras and other herbivores into the area. The appearance of the migration brings an increase in predator activity.

Activities include visits to Baines’ Baobabs (a cluster of magnificent upside-down trees situated at the edge of Kudiakam Pan. Daily game drives are also on offer and give safari goers the chance to see fantastic migratory birding opportunities, large elephant bulls, the iconic Kalahari lion, cheetah, spotted hyena and oryx.
