Selinda Camp | Selinda Reserve

Includes: meals, drinks, activities, park fees, laundry and Intermittent WiFi
Excludes: Spa treatments
Activities: day & night game drives, boating (seasonal and water level dependent) and guided walking on request as an optional activity

Selinda camp is an intimate camp set on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway - a waterway that links Botswana's Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando marshes, rivers and floodplains.

The camps architecture is centred around the elements of water, air, earth and fire and is evident in the impressive décor as well. Selinda Camp offers extraordinary views over the floodplains, waterways and wide-open savannas which are only broken by attractive palm islands. It is these views that are one of Selinda's most compelling features.

Selinda Camp has three spacious guest tents under thatch, each with comfortable three-quarter sized beds draped with flowing mosquito nets adding to the romantic atmosphere. The rooms have spacious, en-suite bathrooms, with full sized baths and showers. Dual vanity basins complement the sense of luxury and sliding doors allow for privacy or create an open-air bathroom feel as well. Each guest tent has its own colour palette and theme, and the large veranda boasts a private pool.

Activities in the Selinda Reserve include both day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles. Game viewing is of a high standard, particularly in the drier months and typically seen in the Selinda area are giraffe, baboon, black-backed jackal, elephants, wildebeest, cheetah, crocodile, lion, wild dog, hippo, honey badger, reedbuck, roan, sable and a host of birds. For the more energetic, short guided walking trails are available on request within the vicinity of the camp.

Activities are focused on game drives. During periods of high water levels, water activities may be possible but not guaranteed.

Activities: day and night game drives, guided walks, boating and mokoro (seasonal and water level dependent)

The renowned Duba Plains Camp is situated in Botswana's Okavango Delta on a 33,000-hectare private concession which typifies the region’s unique landscape.  The camp is surrounded by expansive seasonally flooded plains and shaded by tall ebony, fig and mangosteen trees.

The intimate camp consists of 5 bespoke design tents, all on raised decking. Each tent has a lounge area, with a place to write and do your photographic downloads, as well as interesting spaces for private dining in your tent. Each tent has a private veranda and beautifully appointed en-suite facilities consisting of flush loo, double basins and indoor and outdoor showers and luxurious baths. Ceiling fans and careful design maintain comfortable climate for rest and relaxation.  Guests are able to enjoy their own private plunge pool and outdoor under cover sala/day rest area.

The main area consists of a large raised dining room, and comfortable lounge with private dining areas, wine cellar and library, with ample space for our guests to either get away and be private or be all together if they want to. The camp’s centre-point is the fire place on an extended deck into the swamp.

Jack's Camp | Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

Includes: meals, local drinks, activities, park fees, laundry & Intermittent Wifi
Excludes: premium drinks
Activities: game drives, night drives, Bushmen Cultural  Walks, Chapman’s Baobabs & Meerkat Visit, Quad bike trips (dry season only) – TWO guests per quad bike only.
Optional Activities at additional cost: horse riding and helicopter scenic flights (seasonal, green season recommended)

Jack's Camp is located in the Kalahari Desert on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans, the largest saltpans in the world. Jack's Camp is a classic desert safari camp that offers a unique safari experience, providing guests with an insight into the area’s geology, archaeology and anthropology on a range of activities.

The charm of classic safaris in Hemingway’s times lives on in these stylish and comfortable tents using paraffin lanterns and furniture handmade true to samples from the early 1900s, relinquishing anything that would destroy the uniqueness of this magical place and require electricity. The camp is spread out on an island of palm trees, with an open dining tent and Persian style ‘tea tent’ and library. There is a beautiful collection of local artefacts, presented in an informal yet educational manner.

Activities are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles custom-designed for the terrain and accompanied by knowledgeable guides. In the dry winter months, all-purpose ATV vehicles (a four-wheeled motorcycle/Quad bikes) are available, allowing guests to travel across the saltpans. Walks with a Bushman tracker and a visit to Chapman's Baobab - the historical baobab tree used by Livingstone, Selous and other early explorers - are activities also on offer. A special highlight of a visit to Jack’s Camp are the local meerkats, as a group has been habituated and is accustomed to human presence allowing incredible photographic opportunities as well as the privilege to see these lively characters up close.
The Makgadikgadi area changes greatly with the seasons and consequently the focus of activities varies throughout the year. The summer rains create a warm shallow layer of water that entices waterfowl and flamingos. After the rains (December to April), there can be enormous herds of wildebeest, zebra and springbok - with the accompanying predators - on the open grasslands.

Please note: All activities are subject to seasonal availability and weather conditions during the month of travel. Pans sleep outs and quad bike activities do not operate in the wet season and may also be halted after unexpected rains, when wet conditions prevent access to the pans. Some activities will need to be pre-booked before travel. Quad bike trips run with TWO guests per quad bike. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
