An awesome way to see the Falls is from the bottom of the gorge. Swimming in the rock pools below the Falls, surrounded by the massive black basaltic rock towering up above you and the water cascading down, seemingly out of the sky, is certainly one of the most breathtaking experiences you will ever have. This activity is a perfect combination with white water rafting.
Enjoy the most spectacular view of the Falls from the island where Dr Livingstone first viewed the Mosi-oa-Tunya (The Smoke That Thunders). At low water the island has its very own bathing pool,
(Devil’s Pool) which forms each year amongst the rocks along the edge.
See the raw, powerful beauty of the Victoria Falls from the best possible angle – above. United Air Charter offers 3 different flight options from their base at Baobab Ridge. The short flight circuits the Falls and offers superb views over the gorges below and the Zambezi above. The longer flight skims over the Zambezi rapids, ascends over the Falls and finishes with game viewing over the
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. The adventure flight in a Huey helicopter, flown with doors open at a lower lever, skims over the African bush, deep down into the Batoka gorge and over the falls. A gourmet champagne picnic is the perfect helicopter package, providing a romantic flight over the Falls and into the gorge to an exclusive setting on the banks of the Zambezi River as it rushes down the narrow gorge below the Falls. All flights include transfers to and from our helipad. Airport transfers and charter flights are available.
This unique activity begins with a spectacular scenic helicopter flight over the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls. The helicopter then swoops into the Gorge and lands at rapid 21, where a beautiful riverside spot with stunning views of the river and gorge await you. A beautifully prepared picnic lunch on the white beach at the edge of the Zambezi is a wonderful setting for a relaxing lunch. The ascent out of the gorge by helicopter is the perfect finale to a stunning midday excursion.

Among the great game reserves of the world, Chobe National Park is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephant on the African continent. Surrounded by wildlife management areas and reserves that allow game to roam freely, the 11 700km² (4 500 square mile) reserve is located in the far north of Botswana, bordering on the Chobe River. Chobe is particularly well known for its large herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as the two antelope that cannot be encountered anywhere else in Botswana, the puku and Chobe bushbuck. In addition to the vast floodplains that occur along the river, Chobe offers tracks of dry savannah. Dense teak woodland provides thick cover in the north-eastern parts of the reserve. Watching the elephant families drink and bathe in the river is an unforgettable sight, all the more impressive when herds of buffalo, rafts of hippo and gigantic Nile crocodiles are part of the scene. Lion and spotted hyena are frequently seen on the floodplains, where red lechwe, puku, zebra, sable and roan come out to graze.
Well-used animal trails meander between five ensuite safari tents at andBeyond Chobe Under Canvas, positioned at exclusive campsites in the northern reaches of the park, within driving distance of the Chobe River. Booked on a nightly basis, each canvas tent boasts a comfortable double bed, as well as an ensuite bathroom with flush w.c and steaming hot bucket shower, with water delivered on request. The guest areas comprise spacious tents for dining, pre-dinner drinks or simply whiling away the time between game drives with a good book and frosted beer or glass of wine. Delicious meals cooked over the coals are shared around a blazing fire.

Game viewing in the Okavango Delta is remote and secluded, with very few vehicles sharing the private concession. Sensitive off-road driving practices allow our guests to get up close to the area’s exceptional wildlife. Afternoon drives continue after night, allowing for an opportunity to see the many animals that are more active at night, including leopard and serval. Lion frequently hunt at night and there is always a chance of coming upon them feeding on a kill. &Beyond’s professionally trained guides will ask you about your favourite wildlife and will do their best to ensure that your preferences are met, whether it is tracking a particular species or spending more time enjoying each sighting, getting to know the habits of the animals. The Okavango Delta is well known for its Mokoro rides. These are boating trips through the maze like channels and shallow lagoons of the Delta. As mokoros are not motorized, they allow you to glide silently through the channels. You will see many animals that feed on the grass and reeds on the palm islands such as lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, hippo and crocodile.
(seasonal - dependent on water levels)
Game viewing is also offered in motorized boats. These trips allow you to cover more ground and to see more of the landscape. Boating is offered seasonally depending on the water levels in the Okavango Delta.
(seasonal - dependent on water levels)
Try your hand at catching the fierce tiger fish, or Tilapia in the Okavango Delta. Not all water based camps in the Okavango allow fishing, but some camps do allow fishing on a catch and release basis. Most of the fishing however takes place in the Panhandle region where the Okavango River enters the Delta.

With a dedicated game ranger and tracker, as well as a private game drive vehicle, guests have the luxury of tailor-making their own safari experience; choosing their own game drive times and spending as much time as they want at sightings.

Discover the secrets of the pans with the Zu/’hoasi Bushmen on a fascinating bush walk. See this ancient desert landscape through their eyes. These skilled hunter gatherers will show you how to survive, using their extraordinary tracking skills to uncover a smorgasbord of culinary delights... from bulbs, to scorpions, to berries. Spending time with them is a very rare privilege.

and an experience not to be missed!
This really is an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a helicopter flight over the Makgadikgadi Pans, doors off (or on), to take in the vastness of this desert landscape.
