Rosenhof Country House is situated on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn en route to the Cango Caves and Ostrich farms. The carefully renovated homestead (circa 1852), with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity. The lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to stylishly decorated bedrooms, each individually furnished in Victorian Style with patios opening onto the courtyard. Each Auberge Room is approximately 40 square meters Individually styled, with modern touches, these rooms reflect a simplicity in design. From the excellent use of colour to the extra spacious seating areas, these rooms offer spectacular views of either the central courtyard with swimming pool or the surrounding mountains. Fitted with all modern luxuries including: complimentary mini-bars & nespresso machines, en-suite bathrooms with both walk-in showers and bath, air-conditioning, under floor heating, fireplace and dvd /cd player. Each room is generously spacious at 50m²/538ft² in size. Situated around the main auberge these rooms enjoy views of the main pool area and majestic Franschhoek mountains. Bathrooms are contemporary with modern fittings including underfloor heating.
These suites are 45m²/484ft² and 40m²/430ft² in size and look out onto their own secret corner garden. Luxurious en-suite bathrooms feature granite tops, walk-in showers and double vanities.

The Great Heart Wines Boutique recalibrates the notion of an ‘intimate’ and ‘personalized’ wine tasting with availability for a table that sits four guests at a time for Le Quartier Français and Leeu House guests only. Great Heart is the staff empowerment project of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines, known for their multi-award winning Leeu Passant and Mullineux wineries. Aimed at improving the livelihoods of those who work for the company as well as their families, the Great Heart wine brand is collectively owned by the winery staff, and a portion of all sales under this label go directly to them.
Set among the vineyards, Leeu Spa is an immersive wellness sanctuary that offers holistic treatments and experiences by expert therapists. The tailor-made offerings are inspired by Africa’s rich natural resources, with a unique focus on the myriad therapeutic benefits of South Africa’s unique Pinotage grape.
