Having lived and worked in the tourism sector in West & East Africa for a number of years they have always been passionate about creating a 'soft landing' for people to explore this beautiful continent and to offer something that provides 'an African home away from home'. They are lucky to have an incredible staff team who really are the life and soul of the Guinea Fowl. They have been with them from the beginning and very much part of its creation. They are very happy to share all their experiences with you to make sure you have the best experience possible whether working, traveling or volunteering in Uganda.

Situated on the eastern banks of the Albert Nile, Fort Murchison Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in a beautiful natural setting. Each of the twelve spacious units features private bathrooms, balconies and writing desks. There are also self-contained tents featuring mosquito nets, bedside tables, power outlets and communal ablution blocks with showers and toilets. The on-site restaurant is decorated in an authentic Swahili style and serves delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients. Other amenities include a bar, rooftop terrace and swimming pool. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities including game drives, boat cruises to the delta, fishing, chimp trekking, birdwatching, and hiking and nature walks.

On the edge of one of the most beautiful National Parks in Uganda lies Kidepo Savannah Lodge. The lodge is inspired by the Savannah surroundings, the grasslands, rocky outcrops, and by the Karamajong tribe with their manyattas and colourful blankets. The accommodation consists of luxurious self contained safari tents and comfortable lazy camping tents. Activities available for guests to enjoy include game drives, and nature walks visiting the Lamoj Mountains and Kidepo River Valley.

Kotido is a small town and district in Northern Karamoja. The main group of people who live here are the Jie, a Karimojong sub-group. Since disarmament (2008 and before) the security is good in this region. Ronald en Anke Simiyu started living in Kotido in 2010.

Kara-Tunga Karamoja Safari Camp offers tented accommodation in the beating heart of the Karamoja region at the slopes of Mount Moroto. The camp is a central location that serves perfectly as a base for adventure through untouched northeast Uganda, being 4 hours from Sipi Falls and 5 hours from Kidepo Valley National Park. The camp design is a blend of traditional customs and local materials with a modern touch. The 7 spacious safari tents have extra long king size beds, a private verandah, solar heated showers, electricity to charge equipment, a flushing toilet, and a washing basin. The guest house contains three self-contained and spacious double and twin bedrooms with queen size beds, and one twin room with two king size single beds. Additional facilities at the camp include a restaurant and bar, a pagoda, outdoor fire place, and a tour info desk from which guests can organise car rental, cultural tours, mountain hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife safaris.

Set within the grounds of a unique restored former residence, Sipi River Lodge consists of a main house and seven detached accommodations for our guests, each individually designed with a thoughtful perspective on the backdrop of Kapsurur Falls. Within this picturesque setting you will experience intimate fireside dining, a comfortable reading lounge, an airy veranda, and a bar stocked with beers, wines, and a fine selection of single malt whisky. ​Sipi River Lodge’s location in the foothills of Mount Elgon, famous for three spectacular waterfalls, is home to an incredible number of bird species, some of the best Arabica coffee in the world, and magical sunsets. Join us for afternoon tea and cake after a beautiful waterfall hike and refuel with our hearty homestyle meals that celebrate the local produce.

Nile River Camp has 10 private safari style tents with river views in single, twin or double configuration, 8 spacious dorms, each with 3 double bunks (48 beds in total) and come with bedding and verandah area overlooking the swimming pool, which is the only campsite in the area which offers a swimming pool. There is a massive camping area with designated leveled off sites for those who wish to pitch a tent and have their own space. The toilets and showers are kept very clean with hot water, laundry facilities are also available.
