Discover the wild and unique landscape of the Okavango Delta on twice daily game drives, which depart at sunrise in the mornings and again in the late afternoon to overlap with sunset. Wildlife encounters include getting up close with elephant, buffalo, and lion, while the experience of having sundowners at a scenic spot in the bush mid-game drive is an iconic element of safaris in southern Africa.

Heading out in the game viewer after dark brings the night life of the Okavango Delta into focus. Night drives are only possible in the privacy of a concession, making this a sought after and special activity at Mogogelo. Leopards and lions are more active at night, while nocturnal creatures like civet, porcupine, honey badger, and jackal are likely to be seen, so this is one not to be missed.

Embark on specially designed game drives tailored for all explorers regardless of age and preferences. For young families shorter drives, engaging narratives, frequent stops for viewing opportunities, and animal and bird encounters will captivate them while ensuring a comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

For the more adventurous venture near and far across the landscape combining both Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Concession. Game drives are twice daily comprising a tea & coffee break in the mornings and sundowners in the afternoon.

A drive in the dark back to camp after sunset or a drive out of camp after dinner offers the experience of finding nocturnal wildlife and watching their activities by spotlight. This opportunity to encounter lesser-seen wildlife is sure to be exciting.

Explore the magical waterways of The Okavango using a Mokoro and guided by a professional poling guide.

Traverse the hidden waterways of the Delta aboard a traditional mokoro (canoe), a unique and eco-friendly way to spot hippos basking in the sun and colourful birds flitting through the reeds. The gentle pace and proximity to nature provide ample opportunities for observation and learning.

Walk on the wild side of life and take a stretch. Get in at ground level and learn more about the birds, insects and fauna.

Embark on guided bush walks suitable for all ages, following safe and kid-friendly trails that wind through diverse landscapes. Learn about the fascinating flora and fauna of the Delta, discover animal tracks and hidden gems, and ignite a passion for conservation.

Take a journey to the local village of Khwai and interact and engage with our historic people.

Hop on board with our superlative partner, Helicopter Horizons, for a stunning perspective of the landscape. This bird reaches places where no vehicle (or pedestrian) would dare. Stop on land and enjoy a glass of bubbly to top things off.

Our inclusive game drives are operated in Kazuma pans on the Botswana side, as well as south towards Deka, in the Sibuyu reserve, with our sundowers being an experience in itself.

Other thank our inclusive game drives we are able to offer day trips to both Chobe & Hwange National Parks:

CHOBE DAY TRIP:
A Wildtrack representative will collect guests from Wildtrack and take them to Kasane where they will be met by their guide for their Chobe experience. The Chobe day trip includes a 3 hour river cruise and 3 hour game drive, with lunch on The Raft floating restaurant, where guests can enjoy traditional cuisine while still being surrounded by the natural beauty of Chobe River. At around 16:00 / 16:30 vehicles will make their way out of the national park towards Kasane, with an estimated arrival time of about 18:00.

HWANGE DAY TRIP:
Our Hwange day trip focuses (not included) in the area surrounding Robins camp – in order to give our guests a different feel, and the opportunity to spot some of the many animals the area is known for. Once park formalities have been completed, we head off to Crocodile pools, for some croc and hippo spotting –as well as break for coffee and muffins. From there, we travel through some unspoilt areas via Chingahobe dam, before breaking for a packed lunch at Deteema dam. Thereafter we make our way back towards the gate via Salt Pan, Big toms and Little Toms, before heading out – and back to the border by 5pm.

Our cultural tour begins with meeting the village elders at the Pandamatenga Kgotla, to introduce our guests to them – as well as request permission to enter the village. This is followed by a tour of the village, which encompasses stops to some of the projects our lodge is associated with / involved in – such as the new school that is being built, a community garden we have launched, as well as the community hall – where we encourage ladies in the community to ‘get creative’. We also stop at a house in the village, and introduce our guests to some of the customs, foods and traditions of the Motswana culture. This allows our guests direct interaction with the community, further giving them the opportunity to ‘give back’, should they wish – without feeling obliged.

We end off the day with a boma dinner at our lodge, entertaining our guests with song, dance and rhythm – provided for by the local choir.
