One&Only Cape Town invites guests to join them on a ‘Cooking Tale of Two Sisters’, an edible creative experience of sweet delights, loved by locals and made from the same ingredients but looking and tasting distinctly different. One sweet, one fried makes for each bite to be a unique experience. Learn about the history of these pastries, their place in South African culture in the current day and take the knowledge of these
delicious treats home with you. Lead by the resort’s pastry team, this hands-on session in the resort pastry kitchen is ideal for families. Everyone will receive the Chef’s tried and tested personal recipes in a souvenir pack, as well as a One&Only apron.

A trip to the Cape Winelands begins with a stop at the beautiful Simonsig Wine Estate. There you will have a behind- the-scenes tour of a working wine farm, to experience first-hand the process involved in
producing the ‘champagne of South Africa’ - known as Cap Classique, or CC. As the first estate to bottle CC in South Africa, and the suppliers of One&Only Cape Town’s very own CC, Simonsig Wine Estate makes for a superb day out, picking grapes,
experimenting in viniculture and enjoying a leisurely lunch at the estate restaurant, Cuvee. The wine estate boasts lush outdoor spaces, large enough for children to run around, and even offers a special grape juice tasting for younger guests. This fun and interactive day in the winelands also includes luxury transportation to and from, a delicious winelands lunch as well as a winemaker certificate to remember the experience by.

This class blends the expert barista skills with the best coffee beans in town to give an encompassing class on the art of coffee. Using premium crafted beans from local coffee house, Bootlegger Coffee Company, this one-hour curated experience is conducted by one of the resort’s skilled baristas, guiding guests step-by-step to produce the perfect ‘cupof- joe’. A walk through of the different blends, types of coffees, history of the drink and exploration of the machinery are all to be looked forward to. From frothing the milk to brewing the perfect cup, every step is demonstrated and perfected in this fun and interactive masterclass designed to take coffee making skills to the next level. For the restless spirit and the adventurous amongst us, this is the experience for you. Conquer one of two iconic Cape Town mountain peaks, Table Mountain or Lion’s Head. Both are conveniently situated near the city centre. Table Mountain, one of the 7 Wonders of the Natural World, offers hikers several routes in varying degrees of difficulty, and One&Only Cape Town’s qualified hiking guides will
recommend the best route to match athletic and mountaineering ability. Lion’s Head, a hugely popular summit for locals and international visitors alike is another option, boasting incredible 360-degree
views of the city and ample photo opportunities. Both are ideal for sunrise adventures, when there is less foot traffic and beautiful morning light. Luxury transfers, snacks and refreshments are included - with gourmet picnics also being available on request, at an additional charge, to be enjoyed along your hike.

Practice yoga atop one of the most iconic landmarks, the ancient and majestic Table Mountain, an experience never to be repeated. It begins with a luxury transfer from the resort to the Table Mountain cableway, where guests will be comfortably lifted to the summit by cable car. Once at the top, the resort’s experienced and qualified yoga instructor will guide guests through a one-hour yoga practice, with sprawling views of Cape Town beneath and the richest floral kingdom on earth all around. Get up close and personal with these much-loved creatures of the sea during this behind the- cenes experience in partnership with the Two Oceans Aquarium Education Foundation. Neighbours to One&Only Cape Town, the Foundation actively rescues, rehabilitates and releases stranded and distressed sea turtles as part of their conservation mission. Through them hundreds of sea turtles have been saved, cared for and released back into the wild. In this private excursion, guests will be able to participate and assist with turtle care tasks such as feeding, cleaning and enrichment exercises. Following this, guests are free to explore the Two Oceans Aquarium’s attractions such as the touch pool, shark exhibit, kelp forest and penguin exhibit at leisure. This is a fun, interactive and educational experience, perfect for children and adults alike. All proceeds go towards the non-profit Aquarium Foundation’s Turtle Rescue Programme.

A South African grillroom, ROOI offers a menu sourced from both land and sea, transformed by fire, with a touch of local South African flavours and traditions.
ROOI is the Afrikaans word for ‘red’ (one of the twelve official languages of South Africa) and is a colour traditionally associated with power, vitality, life and fire. The theme of fire is prevalent throughout the space, even in the chosen floral motif, a pincushion protea. Proteas are known as the phoenix of the floral kingdom, due to their reliance on fire to stimulate regrowth and like the Protea, ROOI too harnesses the transformative power of fire.
An elegant contemporary space, the setting brings the outside world in with the inclusion of seven living trees and ‘horned’ seats (a nod towards Ankole cattle known for their long horns) to the design scape.

His innovative blend of classically styled Japanese cuisine incorporates South African seafood and indigenous spices. The upper level Nobu Lounge features a selection of Sakes, plum wines, Japanese beers and Sake and Shochu based cocktails. A sweeping fan-like staircase leads to the dining room and sushi counter, which is framed by a textured, translucent origami light that glides along the ceiling. Accommodating a maximum of two adults, these luxurious 110 square meter thatched tents are fully air-conditioned. Constructed of canvas, glass and wood - each extends out onto a private deck with its own plunge pool and boasts uninterrupted panoramas of the Zambezi River and natural bush.
Boasting a larger than king size bed, comfortable sitting area, open plan bathroom with freestanding bathtub and both indoor and outdoor showers. Twin bedded sleeping configurations are also possible.
Each area of the suite opens to stunning river views, offering an uninterrupted connection with the wild landscape. An adjoining children’s room provides privacy and convenience, featuring a queen-size bed and an extra-length ¾ bed, along with a private en-suite bathroom. This additional room also has a separate entrance from the arrival deck and private access to the front deck, which includes a martini pool—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the tranquillity of the river.

In addition to the host of amenities available in the Luxury Tent, the 119 square meter Luxury Family Tents at Victoria Falls River Lodge offer guests travelling as a family an adjoining tented room.
Comprising of either one single (¾ sized) bed and one bunk bed, or twin ¾ sized beds, where up to three sharing children younger than 17 years old can sleep comfortably; the adjoining children's alcove allows parents a bit more privacy whilst still keeping their children in close proximity.
The expansive en-suite bathrooms are open plan and shared. A curtain may be drawn between the bathroom and main living area thereby offering more privacy as and when required.
Set among the trees on the banks of the secluded Kandahar Island - and accessible by boat only - each of the 4 exquisite 95-square meter Island Treehouse Suites can accommodate a maximum of two guests (12 years and older) and features a host of luxury conveniences, elegantly appointed sitting area, open-plan en-suite bathroom and a private deck with plunge pool.

Victoria Falls River Lodge and the Zambezi National Park are a bird watcher’s paradise.
In a comparatively small area around Victoria Falls, birding enthusiasts will be able to view a great diversity of birds within rain forest, riverine, gorge and savannah habitats.
Local species include Rock Pratincole, Schalow’s Turaco, African Finfoot, Half Collared Kingfisher, Thick Billed Weaver, African Skimmer, Pels Fishing Owl, Collared Palm Thrush and Western Banded Snake Eagle (to name but a few).
Guests at Victoria Falls River Lodge seldom have to travel too far from their private decks however as the lush foliage around the lodge offers ample opportunity to enjoy many of the spectacular array of bird life that Zimbabwe has to offer.

Selinda Camp | Selinda Reserve
Selinda Camp and The Selinda Suite rests on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, as it enters the Linyanti River. The private 330,000-acre Selinda Reserve boasts elephants by the thousands, regular sightings of the Selinda pack of African wild dogs as well as the famous Selinda Lion Pride that was recently featured in the National Geographic film “Birth of a Pride” by Dereck and Beverly Joubert. The area has a sense of remoteness and it is a great example of the Botswana bush embodying a variety of species and rare animals. Selinda Camp and Suite represents the meeting of three cultures; European, Mokololo and Bayei and to pay homage to and celebrate the elements. The camp has three expansive guest suites, each covered under thatch and with large en-suite bathrooms, large private veranda and swimming pool. In addition to the three main suites, the Selinda Suite consists of a two-bedroom tented villa. The Selinda Suite operates exclusively, as guests enjoy their own private vehicle, safari guide, chef, manager/butler and entrance to their residence. While at Selinda Camp there is no set routine, the wildlife knows the most forgiving times of day, and we take its lead. Early morning, late afternoon and evenings are the prime wildlife viewing times - it's when the colors are vibrant, the sun is low and spirits are up. Setting out at dawn, when predators are active, our guides are as keen as the guests to discover the riches of each day in Selinda Reserve. Usually, once the sun is high and strong, we retreat with the herds to our midday resting post, Selinda Camp. Then, as the sun begins to wane again, we head out for the late afternoon to evening, searching for nocturnal wildlife and the action that comes with sunset. But nothing is regimented. Regimes don't suit Selinda, which is why we all love being out here in the first place. Our Toyota Land Cruisers have been specially designed by the Jouberts. The thoughtful engineering provides all-round visibility with removable canvas roofs and comfortable bucket seats. These rugged, 4X4 vehicles provide access to all of the Selinda Reserve's diverse ecosystems, and do so with ease. Please remember that the cars are open and it can be quite chilly in the early mornings and evenings, so take very warm clothing with you on your drives. There are lined ponchos provided in the vehicles if you get cold while out, so just ask your guide to show you where these are if
you need them.
Another huge benefit of staying within the conservancies is that here guests are allowed to appreciate the stunning landscape on foot, peacefully, without the noise of engines. We highly recommend this unforgettable experience. Talk to the managers to arrange a good time and location for a walk. Usually early morning or evening is the best time, as the middle of the day is too hot to venture out of the shade. Wear good walking shoes, a hat, and neutral coloured clothing so as not to alarm the wildlife, and take binoculars. Your guide will have water for you.
Selinda is primarily a land-based camp; however, depending on seasonal water levels boating is possible on the Spillway in the camp powerboat. Zipping through the Okavango’s network of waterways is an invigorating way to get a sense of the scope of this huge wetland. You’ll undoubtedly have wonderful birding and maybe even some hippo, buffalo and elephant sightings.
This is a great activity during mid-day siesta or in place of a safari drive. During January and February there is a moratorium on fishing. All fishing is catch-and-release.
This is a full syllabus of bush craft skills for young explorers. This is a complimentary program that follows in the footsteps of National Geographic Explorers-in-Residence, Dereck and Beverly Joubert. An extensive pack will be provided to eager children on arrival, so they can learn about animal calls, how to track wildlife, and other facts and figures about the wild. At the end of a child’s stay, he/she will become a Young Explorer and Conservation Ambassador - ready to go out and tell the world about what they have learned and what they too can do to help protect this beautiful environment.
Each of Selinda's guest suites comes with a pair of high-quality binoculars for guest use as well as a professional camera set, including a camera body and lenses. Photos will be downloaded to a memory stick on guest’s departure. Photographic tuition through the Great Plains Wild Studio can be arranged for guests (at an additional cost and booked in advance). Tuition can be either on company cameras or own guest’s personal cameras.
The Spa at Selinda is a relaxing and inviting space, located privately above the wine cellar. Spa treatments are at an additional cost.
Enjoy an aerial viewing experience with great scenery across the Linyanti/Savuti and Selinda Spillway. Add a 15-minute champagne stop on palm island en route. Must be booked in advance and is subject to extra cost and availability.

Wilderness Mombo | Mombo Concession
Wilderness Mombo, on Mombo Island just off the northern tip of Chief’s Island, is built under large shady trees and overlooks a wonderful floodplain teeming with wildlife.
Accommodation comprises eight spacious suites raised off the ground, all built to maximise the vistas over the plains. Each tent is elegantly furnished, complete with en-suite bathroom, a dressing area, indoor and outdoor showers; as well as a bathtub that creates a sense of indulgence. The expanded deck includes a sala and plunge pool.
A large living and dining area looks out over that same view, while Wilderness Mombo’s famous traditional dinners are hosted in the nearby boma. Wilderness Mombo shares a Safari Boutique, spa, gym and lap pool with Wilderness Little Mombo. Large concentrations of plains game often occur in front of camp, and you may see a variety of animals without even leaving the veranda.
