Located on a working coffee estate on the outskirts of Arusha, Legendary Lodge is the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. A sanctuary amid tropical gardens, the lodge features 12 peaceful cottages (including 2 family cottages) perfect for preparing for or reflecting on your safari.
Each cottage features split-level living, king-size beds with mosquito nets, deep-soaking bathtubs, a fully-stocked bar fridge, and the comforts of a modern home, including satellite television, direct dial telephone, and Wi-Fi. Dining at the lodge is à la carte, and guests can indulge in delicious meals ranging from full English breakfasts and tapas-style lunches to 3-course gourmet dinners.
Guests can spend the day relaxing poolside or in the garden, and bicycles are available for those who wish to use the cycling and walking trails to explore the estate. The lodge spa offers a range of rejuvenating treatments – perfect for de-stressing after a long flight. Those interested in exploring the area can choose from optional excursions, including coffee tours, shopping at the nearby Cultural Heritage Centre or Maasai market, or day trips to the Arusha, Tarangire and Manyara national parks.
The lodge is fifteen minutes from the Arusha Airport and 90 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Shira Camp One, located on the Lemosho Route of Mount Kilimanjaro at an elevation of approximately 3,510 meters, is a key rest stop for climbers. This campground is unique due to its position on the Shira Plateau, offering expansive views of the surrounding landscape and the distant Shira Cathedral. Travelers visiting Shira Camp One can enjoy the stunning scenery, acclimate to the altitude, and explore the diverse flora of the heath zone. The camp provides basic facilities, including pit toilets, and serves as an ideal spot for climbers to rest and prepare for the ascent ahead.

Moir Camp is situated at an old historic camp site, on the circumnavigation route of the mountain. Situated in a picturesque bowl which provides good security from bad weather and is adjacent to a waterfall and stream making it a lovely place to explore during down time.

Barranco Camp is the 3rd stop along the Machame Route and the 4th stop on the Lemosho route. This area of the mountain is semi-desert and the camp is set in a valley close to the Great Barranco Wall.

On day 5 of the lemosho route up Mount Kilimajaro, climbers would reach the Karanga Camp. The journey would take about 5 hours and climbers get to experience the alpine desert landscape of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Mount Kilimanjaro climbers would approach Barafu camp at about the 5th or 6th day of the trek. The word 'barafu' is the Swahili word for 'ice', which refers to the cold climate at this altitude.

Mweka Camp is conveniently located at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the Mweka Route in Tanzania. The campsite is an ideal rest stop for climbers descending after their summit. Climbers can pitch their tents and acclimatise to the altitude change before continuing their descent to the Mweka Gate.
