Maison Gallieni is located on the hillside, in the historic ‘upper’ district of Antananarivo. So it offers spectacular views over the city. Built in 1879 as the headquarters of the largest bank based in Madagascar, Maison Gallieni is now the official residence of the Consul of Monaco. The attractive 4 star Palissandre Hotel & Spa is one of the more modern of the Tana hotels. It has a pleasant hillside setting overlooking the ‘City of Thousands’ as downtown Antanarivo is known..
