Our collection of converted heritage townhouses and Redcliffe House offer you all the spoils of five-star hospitality and the privacy of individual accommodations. With their entrances onto a cobbled lane adjoining the main hotel, they create the feel of a secluded quarter in the suburb.
But around the corner, the cafés, wine bars, boutiques and interior design shops of Kloof Street are giving Gardens – one of Cape Town’s oldest and most sophisticated neighbourhoods – a fresh buzz. From your home for the holiday, it is for you to decide how much or little to do…
The Hotel Concierge is always available to assist and More Quarters is an ideal base from which to explore the city, surrounding beaches, mountains, and winelands… And to come back to, where you can kick off your shoes and flop on the couch.

This tour gives a very personal and authentic look into life in the townships.
The tour begins with a stop in at the MCT-supported Injongo Educare Crèche, Mfuleni where guests can help to make or serve the children breakfast, and read, play ball and have singalongs with them. This is followed by a short walk down the road to where the crèche began at the home of inspirational founder, Mavis Ngcongolo who will be there to greet the group.
Then it’s on to the township of Khayelitsha where guests can see the whole of Cape Town’s biggest location from Lookout Hill at the Tourism Centre, before taking a drive through the streets, hearing about its history and people as they go.
The tour’s last stop is Langa (meaning ‘sun’) and arguably Cape Town’s most vibrant and progressive settlement. Here, guests visit Langa Heritage Museum in The Old Pass Court building, Guga Sthebe Arts & Culture Centre for local empowerment, and Langa Quarter where the Ikhaya Le Langa project is furthering social enterprise and creating a tourism hotspot.

More Quarters – The Breakfast Room
The hotel's à la carte menu of warm dishes is wholly satisfying, including familiar and spiced-up favourites. But if you can’t wait to get out and explore Cape Town, the deli-style buffet offers grab-’em-and-go options, like bottled smoothies and breakfast pots, whole fruit, and fresh muffins and pastries.
The chefs will also happily cater for any dietary preferences – children have their own breakfasts to choose from, too – and requirements (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc.). And if later on you’re feeling a bit peckish, there are always treats to look forward to by way of afternoon tea…

New to Molori Safari is our new hide and whiskey bar. The hide offers magnificent views overlooking the Molori waterhole which has quickly become a favourite spot for guests to observe Madikwe wildlife at close proximity. It offers keen photographers new opportunities to take intimate images of elephants, lion, buffalo and amazing birdlife that pop in to drink at the waterhole. Adjacent to the hide, that features floor to ceiling glass doors overlooking the Dwarsberg mountain range, guests get to experience whisky and wine tastings while watching the wildlife walk by.
For close encounters with nature, Molori offers game drives twice daily that aim to leave guests with memories of much more than just the “big five” or Madikwe “super seven”. The 75,000-hectare reserve boasts several prides of lion, large herds of elephant, black and white rhino, countless buffalo and more than 340 bird species, as well as the endangered cheetah, brown hyena and a healthy population of wild dogs. Night drives showcase an array of nocturnal wildlife, including leopard, honeybadger and various smaller members of the cat family. Our guided safari walks give guests the exhilarating experience of tracking animals on foot and orientation on medicinal plants and local history.
To enhance the bush experience Molori Safari Lodge takes the experience on step further with exclusive-use areas within the game reserve to watch breathtaking sunsets while enjoying champagne cocktails or to enjoy a light breakfast in the bush while overlooking the vast Madikwe plains all the way to sharing dinner and fire-side stories in our exclusive Bush Site situated only 20 minutes from the Lodge.
Etienne Oosthuizen is our Specialist Field Guide who can offer a short photography course to our guests. Capture the wonderful memories of your African Safari or the incredible wildlife which you will encounter throughout your game drives.
For those guests who wish to participate in helping to fight the war on poaching and to make a difference one Rhino at a time, Molori Safari Lodge in association with the Madikwe Game Reserve, offers the unique opportunity for hands on tracking and tagging participation and a what can only be described as a once in a life time experience. This activity is available on advance request at additional cost. Please inquire at the time of booking for further information.
Our guides share their wealth of knowledge on finding, identifying and tracking different types of animal tracks.
For a more celestial experience, guests can take advantage of Molori’s observatory. With a fully retractable roof the observatory is equipped with a fully automatic, digital telescope (one of the largest privately owned telescopes in Southern Africa) to explore the cosmos and the Southern Hemisphere’s remarkable night sky.
For the adventurous Molori Safari Lodge offers night drives with Night Vision Goggles (NVG’s) and hi-tech military issue torches, exclusive only to Molori, this gives a whole new dimension and exhilarating experience to bush tracking adventures and being out at night.
For family groups, Molori Safari Lodge will go the extra mile to ensure that our younger guests are kept busy and intrigued. Junior ranger experiences have been developed by our field guides to ensure that the big and small bush experiences are appreciated. Specialized activities at the lodge for example animal tracking and identification, pizza making, baking, fishing, games and creative expression are also available. Our staff are experts at providing just the right amount of entertainment in between game drives to allow parents a little free time to relax and become truly immersed in the African bush.
Aspiring chefs can learn how to prepare their favorite indigenous dishes on-site, from selecting and preparing ingredients, to cooking and presenting a meal. Cooking classes can be booked 24 hours in advance.
The air-conditioned fitness center is well equipped with state-of-the-art treadmill, bike and cross-trainer machines, dumbbells and weight machines, as well as pilates and yoga equipment.
The spa offers a large variety of skin and body treatments by a qualified Spa Therapist.
