The concept of Paradise Fishing lodge was developed by Chad Marquis and started in 2006. Prior to starting the lodge Chad lived and operated his own printing business in southern California, but growing tired of the same thing day in and day out, closed his business and bought a lot in Costa Rica on which to build a house. Having a strong construction background Chad decided he would build the house and do some great fishing at the same time.
A local resort owner in Costa Rica who was completing his own resort construction around the same time as Chad was finishing his house, noticed Chad’s talent in construction and asked if Chad would consider coming onboard to help him finish with the quality and flair that was lacking with the local workers. Chad worked with the owner to complete the resort and found himself running all aspects of the resort, including cooking the meals when need be.
On one of Chad’s days off he arranged to go fishing in Panama with a local captain, a day that changed his whole perspective on what he wanted to do with his life, as it was by far his best day of fishing ever. The stories he had heard about the fishing in Panama were real, so every time he had time off, he would drive to Panama and search for the right location for his dream, to start his own fishing lodge. The result of this dream can now be seen for yourself in Panama Paradise Lodge.
Built atop one of the highest elevations along Panama’s beautiful coastline, you will have a majestic view from your cabin. All rooms are air-conditioned with private baths and plenty of hot water. The restaurant sits atop the hill so you can dine and look out on the beautiful Pacific while having a cool drink at the bar. Go ahead and bring your I-phone, or laptop, as the Wi-Fi connectivity is excellent.
In 2020, Paradise Fishing Lodge was purchased with Chad staying involved in a consulting role. The recent mass infusion of capital has allowed upgrades to all aspects of the operation. Full overhauls on all boats, a massive dock expansion as well as upgrades to all existing tackle, further cementing Paradise Fishing Lodge's spot at the top of all fishing lodges in Panama.
