Etosha Mountain Lodge | Etosha Heights Private Reserve

Etosha Mountain Lodge, set in its own Reserve, is designed in the typically Namibian style with beautiful far-reaching views from the dolomite hill on which it stands. The design is characterised by wood and stone interiors with relaxed soft furnishings. Its high roofed, round thatch buildings boast a large 'Lapa' area with a well-stocked bar, a lounge with DSTV and in-door fire-place for those chilly winter evenings, a small but plentiful curio shop, reception with Wi-Fi access and lastly the comfortable, spacious dining room. Outside on the large wooden decked area is a refreshing swimming pool, out-door 'Boma' and abundant wine cellar.

This classic lodge comprises of eight thatched chalets and one spacious family suite. All have en-suite bathrooms, with both a shower and bathtub in each, and their own expansive wooden viewing decks enabling you to fully take in the breathtaking vistas surrounding you.

Daily activities include game drives on the Reserve, tracking the elusive Black and White Rhino and the growing population of big cats. As the sun drops you can search for those nocturnal species not seen during the day. The Reserve acts as a wildlife buffer for the National Park so guests have the chance to learn more of the conservation and protection efforts that are in place in the area.

Ozondjou Trails | Brandberg

The intimate Ozondjou Trails is erected on a small plateau and offers magnificent panoramic views over the Ugab and the massive Brandberg. Ozondjou is the Herero word for elephants.
Accommodation is in comfortable meru-style tents with solar lights, en-suite shower, wash basin and flushing toilet. A tented lapa is used as a dining room and lounge. An English breakfast and a 3-course dinner prepared on the fire pit are included. Local beverages are included in your stay.

The package itinerary looks as follows:
Afternoon drive to meet a local farmer, who will give you an insight on farming in the area and the challenges that they are facing in their daily lives farming with free-roaming wildlife. We end off the afternoon with a short walk and sundowners before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast enjoy a 3/4 day elephant drive in the Ugab River and surrounding area. We join the EHRA team in their daily patrol, searching for desert elephants and studying their behavior. This is also a good opportunity to encounter normal plains game. A tasteful cold picnic lunch will be served on this excursion. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

The camp is situated 4km off the C35 on the road between Uis and Khorixas (40km from Uis just after the Ugab bridge) and is only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle.

There is no cellphone signal at Ozondjou Trails.
