Enjoy a game drive in a big 5 reserve in Hoedspruit or go to the Kruger National Park. Game Drives are conducted in a 4x4 open sided safari vehicle. Guests can choose between a morning / afternoon game drive, a full day Kruger drive or a half day Kruger drive. There is also the option of going on a game drive with a bush dinner experience.

Enjoy the splendour of the third largest Canyon in the world. Unquestionably being the largest ‘green canyon’ due to its lush Subtropical foliage. An interpretation tour by a tour guide will take you to the you to the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondawels. An abundance of wildlife will keep you distracted while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon.

The Blyde River canyon supports large diversity of life, including numerous fish and antelope species as well as Hippos and Crocodiles, primate species and a diversity of birdlife such as the African Fish Eagle, African Finfoot and much more.

Possibly the best view in the whole of the Blyde River Canyon is of the “Three Rondavels”, huge, round rocks, thought to be reminiscent of the houses or huts of the indigenous people, known as rondavels. The Canyon is famous for the Kadishi Tufa waterfall. At 200m (around 660 feet) in height it is the second tallest Tufa waterfall on earth. In the case of the Kadishi Tufa fall, the formation that has been produced strikingly resembles a face which is crying profusely and is thus sometimes known as the weeping face of nature.

Experience a quad bike safari in a big 3 reserve on a 3000-hectare game farm of Buffaloland Safaris. Buffaloland is home to 3 of the big 5 - Buffalo, Lions and Leopard.

Enjoy a 1-hour scenic hot air balloon flight at sunrise and fly over the Lowveld section of the Blyde River, 15km west of Hoedspruit, at the foot of the Northern Drakensberg Escarpment.

Flights are conducted throughout the year, with mid-summer sunrise at 05h00 and mid-winter sunrise at 06:30. We meet 50 minutes before sunrise at the Sun Catchers Launch site. Due to the high number of weather cancellations, we will not be flying from 16 Dec 2024 to 2 Jan 2025.

Our pilots and crew will ensure a safe, enjoyable, and informative adventure that will be one of the highlights of your visit to the Kruger to Canyon Biosphere. After the flight, the customary sparkling wine will be served, and a flight certificate will be presented.

The Panorama Route is a scenic route through the Drakensburg Mountain Range which is most famous for its spectacular views of the landscape and waterfalls. Starting from Hoedspruit the tour is a full day excursion. We stop at Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, The Three Rondawels, Berlin Falls, Lisbon Falls, The Pinnacle, God’s Window and lastly the small town of Graskop for a late lunch before returning home. All transport and entrance fees are included in the tour as well as bottled mineral water and your qualified guide.
