Sossusvlei Excursions

The Elegant Desert Lodge also offers a variety of activities like the guided Sossusvlei Excursion, hot air ballooning, Quad bike Excursion with the option of a picnic breakfast in the Desert or our signature, must do Scenic Drive. Amongst the breath-taking setting of the Naukluft mountains roam desert adapted plains wildlife like Kudu, Springbok, Hartman Mountain Zebras and Oryx.

Various hiking trails via the open plains and Mountains can be explored on your own, either as a hike or a trail run. The trails will allow you to become intimate with nature as the blue skies, soulful silences and liberating, endless horizons engrave themselves into your soul.

Ondjamba Hills is nestled within some of the most iconic landscapes in Damaraland, 40km northwest of Uis next to the Ugab River.

Ondjamba Hills offers an eclectic fusion of nature, and rustic old-world safari charm with modern chic, creating harmony with the dramatic environment and nature.

Ondjamba Hills offers 20 randomly placed large Meru-style safari tents (10m x 5m) with en-suite bathrooms and an outside veranda with seating arrangements that offer spectacular views over Brandberg Mountain.

Guests who want to experience true Namibian farm life, will find that we offer clean, comfortable, affordable accommodation, warm welcoming Namibian style hospitality and excellent farm food with fresh veggies, and meat from our farm. We are on Etosha National Park's doorstep, a mere 8km from Anderson gate!

Our rooms have coffee making facilities and air-con and we have a swimming pool and bar for guests to relax.

We offer free wi-fi (when available) on our verandah for our room guests and a separate wi-fi for campers at the campsite who will find it more relaxing to have access until late, while lying in bed.

We offer free viewing of our cheetahs for our overnight guests.

Optional is the viewing of our leopard, caracal, brown hyena, spotted hyena and genets @ a fixed rate.

Slightly east from Etosha on the B15 / M75 road only 45 km north from Tsumeb is La Rochelle Lodge.
Amidst majestic fig trees, lush gardens and meandering fresh water springs is a fine complement of Luxury and Private accommodation. Etosha National Park, Oshikoto and lake Guinas are easy to reach within a day`s travel.
Between Tsumeb and Grootfontein is the Hoba meteorite. It`s the world`s largest meteorite and still visible were it hit the ground approximately 80 thousand years ago.
