The Boma Hotel Entebbe is located in Entebbe, Uganda. The property features 15 spacious guest rooms with modern amenities, including en-suite bathrooms, seating areas, and free Wi-Fi access. The design of Primate Lodge is simple, natural and intentionally low-impact, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the surrounding forest. Built using timber and other locally sourced materials, the lodge has a rustic yet comfortable feel, with thatched roofs and earthy tones that reflect the colours of the environment. The central area is open and welcoming, with a lounge, bar and dining space that encourage relaxation while still maintaining a strong sense of being in the forest. The lounge area is ideal for relaxing between activities, and there is an outdoor firepit where guests can gather in the evenings. Pathways wind through the trees, linking the cottages and enhancing the feeling of privacy and immersion.

Accommodation at Primate Lodge consists of cottages and a honeymoon cottage all set in the forest. The cottages are spacious and comfortable, featuring en-suite bathrooms, wooden interiors and private verandas that open onto the surrounding greenery. While the style is more understated than high-end luxury lodges, it offers all the necessary comforts for a relaxed stay. Some units are slightly more premium, with added space and upgraded finishes, while others provide a simpler but still atmospheric forest experience. While the lodge does not focus on extensive luxury amenities, it provides everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with the emphasis firmly on the surrounding wildlife and environment.

The primary activity at Primate Lodge is chimpanzee trekking, with the starting point located just minutes away, making early morning departures particularly easy. This is why we love Primate Lodge. Kibale is renowned for its high density of primates, and guests often have excellent sightings not only of chimpanzees but also of red colobus, black-and-white colobus and other species. The chimpanzee habituation experience, which allows for extended time with a troop, is a highlight for many visitors. Additional activities include guided forest walks, birding excursions and visits to the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife and community-based tourism initiatives.

Primate Lodge is located within Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda, close to the town of Fort Portal. Its position inside the forest and near the main visitor centre makes it one of the most convenient lodges for chimpanzee trekking. Access is typically part of an extended Uganda safari or directly via road, around five to six hours from Kampala or Entebbe. Often combined with other destinations in western Uganda such as Queen Elizabeth National Park. For those flying, charter flights can be arranged to nearby airstrips followed by a shorter road transfer.

Honey Bear Bush Camp is a small, characterful tented camp set on the remote southern bank of the Kazinga Channel in the Kyambura Game Reserve, part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is designed to evoke the romance of a classic East African safari, with a strong sense of place and a deliberately light footprint. With only five tents and no other lodges nearby, it offers a rare feeling of exclusivity and immersion, where the rhythm of the river and the constant presence of wildlife define the experience. You will fall asleep to hippos honking and wake up to herds of elephant coming down to water, right in front of your room.

Inspired by the 1953 film, “Mogambo”, the name is derived from Ava Gardner’s character – Eloise ‘Honey Bear’ Kelly. Chic, elegant and sassy, a New York Socialite who arrives by boat to a remote African outpost. ‘Honey Bear’ embodies the spirit of all that we represent – Sophistication in the Wild.

The design is understated and nostalgic, centred around a traditional mess tent that serves as the social heart of camp. This open-sided structure houses both the dining area and lounge, allowing uninterrupted views across the channel and catching the breeze off the water. The aesthetic leans towards classic safari style—canvas, wood, and soft, natural tones—creating a space that feels both elegant and relaxed, rather than overtly luxurious. 

The rooms are spacious ground-level safari tents, each with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor bucket showers that reinforce the authentic bush feel. Positioned carefully along the riverbank, every tent has a private verandah looking out over the Kazinga Channel towards the distant Rwenzori Mountains. Interiors are simple but thoughtfully done, with large beds, writing desks and canvas walls that allow the sounds of the wild—hippos grunting, water lapping, elephants moving through—to become part of the stay.

Activities are varied and one of the camp’s strongest draws, thanks to its location in a quieter, less-visited part of the park. Game drives explore both the Kyambura reserve and the wider Queen Elizabeth National Park, while boat safaris along the Kazinga Channel offer exceptional wildlife viewing, particularly for hippo, elephant and birdlife. Guided walking safaris add a more immersive dimension, and chimpanzee tracking in nearby Kyambura Gorge is a unique contrast to the savannah experience. As one of the only camps in this zone, Honey Bear can also offer exclusive night drives, which are not widely available elsewhere in the park.

Access is typically via Mweya or Kasese airstrips followed by a road transfer and boat journey to camp, reinforcing the feeling of arriving somewhere remote and hidden.

​Ishasha Wilderness Camp is a serene and eco-friendly safari lodge nestled along the Ntungwe River in the remote Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda. Renowned for its proximity to the park's famous tree-climbing lions, the camp offers an authentic wilderness experience with a touch of luxury.

The camp features ten spacious canvas tented rooms, each thoughtfully positioned to overlook the Ntungwe River. The main area of the lodge is a thatched lounge and dining area offering a comfortable setting for meals and relaxation, meals are al fresco with dining options next to the river. Freshly prepared meals use local ingredients, complemented by a selection of local and imported beverages​. There is also an evening outdoor fireplace for sundowners and sharing daily experiences. The lodge has free Wi-Fi internet and recharging facilities in designated areas

The camp's commitment to sustainability is evident in its use of solar power for lighting and minimal usage of water and other resources.​

Buhoma Lodge is located in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, one of the most accessible regions of the park. Access is typically via a domestic flight from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip, followed by a road transfer of around one to two hours, or by a longer overland journey of approximately eight to nine hours from Kampala, often combined with other destinations such as Queen Elizabeth National Park.
