These spacious tents are equipped with full on beds, luxurious linen, extra pillows and a standing wardrobe. Large windows provide amazing views of the landscape around you, as well as any wildlife activity that may pass your way. Attached to your tent is a spacious en-suite bathroom, fitted with a long drop toilet and washing facilities including a basin with running water and a bucket shower, with an extra big shower head for your showering enjoyment. Our long drop toilet is also a super lux version of the standard ‘thunder box’ with wooden throne and wooden toilet seat with a self ash ‘flushing’ handle on the toilet itself. Outside your tent is a relaxing area just for yourselves, with comfortable chairs and a small table to store your reading material or binoculars on as you enjoy the wilderness around you.

Our very own safari chef will make sure that not a moment of the day goes past that you think about food before it thinks of you. Breakfast, lunch and dinner you will be well taken care of and we can cater for special diets as well.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, juice and water are provided throughout this style of safari,

The name Qorokwe means 'the place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water' and is evocative of the high-density game area in which the camp is situated. The diverse habitats of the south-eastern Okavango support a wealth of wildlife, earning the area’s well-deserved reputation as a top Botswana safari destination.

Wilderness Qorokwe has nine tented suites, one of which is a spacious family unit with a private plunge pool. En-suite facilities feature an indoor shower with an inward opening door giving the illusion of an outdoor shower experience. Built on elevated wooden platforms, the main area includes a dining room, lounge, library, bar and an infinity pool overlooking an expansive lagoon. Highlights of Wilderness Qorokwe’s dining experiences include festive boma evenings and scrumptious pizzas from the camp’s bespoke oven.

A luxurious and contemporary camp in a spectacular setting, Wilderness Qorokwe offers eight twin-bedded tents, plus a spacious family unit with its own private plunge pool. Raised decking connects guest tents to the main area, while mindfully maintaining wildlife crossings. With more than a kilometre (over half a mile) of walkways, guests can enjoy wholesome and scenic exercise within the camp.

The design inspiration for the camp comes from its natural setting in this extraordinary Botswana landscape. The result is a rich mix of natural materials and colours throughout. Bleached timbers, darker stains and accents of rust and burnt orange are used throughout. The materials chosen to build the camp include steel frames with infill panels to insulate against the heat and cold, as well as canvas and timber decks. Detailed timber ceilings perforated with light, mimic the experience of being beneath the trees at the side of the lagoon, creating a visual union with its beautiful surroundings.

Qorokwe has a very spacious family tent with its own private plunge pool and outdoor deck with shaded loungers, as well as a shared indoor lounge, dining area and fireplace.The main bedroom has an indoor bath.

Organic shapes, and textural contrast – from timber to steel and canvas – add warmth and comfort with understated luxury.

The Qorokwe Concession is defined by the Gomoti Channel in the east, while a large part of it lies across the Santantadibe River to the west. The safari traversing area comprises typical Okavango Delta habitats: seasonal palm-dotted floodplains, wooded islands, tranquil waterways, and dry woodland areas. This variety of habitats, plus the fact that the Qorokwe Concession has permanent water all year round, allows for a unique diversity of wildlife and outstanding game viewing during every season. Concentrations of larger predators may include lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyaena, and African wild dog. While various plains species typically seen are herds of giraffe, zebra, red lechwe and gnarled buffalo bulls.

Scan the bushveld during an evening drive for magical nocturnal mammals such as civets, genets, bushbabies, and owls.
