The ‘Bean-to-Cup’ Coffee Estate Tour
A walk around the workings of the coffee plantation to see how the coffee is grown, harvested, dried, and produced into the aromatic coffee that we drink every day.
Ever wondered how the humble coffee bean goes from bush to your cup? Arusha Coffee Lodge – one of the Elewana Collection of lodges, camps and boutique beach hotels in East Africa – offers an exciting and informative 'Coffee Tour' for anyone who wishes to learn the fascinating cycle of the coffee bean.
The Tour takes place within the grounds of the Lodge, which itself is located within one of Tanzania’s largest coffee estates. Weaving in and out of the evergreen coffee bushes, the Coffee Guide explains how the bean is nurtured, harvested, dried and finally roasted to produce a myriad of different blends that sate the taste of the most ardent of coffee connoisseurs.

The closest national park to Arusha town – northern Tanzania’s safari capital – Arusha National Park is a multi-faceted jewel, offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats within a few hours.
The entrance gate leads into shadowy montane forest inhabited by inquisitive blue monkeys and colourful turacos and trogons – the only place on the northern safari circuit where the black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen.
In the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, whose steep, rocky cliffs enclose a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of buffalo and warthog.

Visit to the Maasai Market
This is a one stop shopping area for handicrafts made by local Tanzanians. You get to buy various handicrafts made of ebony, redwood etc and various types of paintings made by local artisans. There is a large scope for bargaining here. Always visit markets with a guide and keep personal possessions close to you.
Visit to the Cultural Center
The Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre is located in Arusha, Tanzania. It is a place where the past and present of the Tanzania's 120-plus tribes can be viewed in a single compound. The centre boasts of various carvings and gemstones, artifacts, clothing and books.
This visit can be organized simply by asking reception at Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Day Trip to Ngorongoro
A day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater will be the highlight of any stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge.
The Ngorongoro Crater, a large, unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera is the pride of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater, which formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some two to three million years ago, is 610 m (2,000 ft) deep and its floor covers 260 km2 (100 sq mi).
Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from fifteen to nineteen thousand feet (4500 to 5800 metres) high.
Although thought of as "a natural enclosure" for a very wide variety of wildlife, up to 20% or more of the wildebeest and half the zebra populations vacate the Crater in the wet season. However, a side effect of this enclosure is that there is a resident population of Ngorongoro lions.

Day Game Drive
Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing lions. Visitors to the park can expect to see any number of resident zebra and wildebeest in addition to the less common animals. Other common animals include waterbuck, giraffe, and olive baboons.
Home to more than 550 species, the park is a haven for bird enthusiasts who can expect so see dozens of species even in the dry season. The swamps are the focus of the largest selection of breeding birds anywhere in the world. Yellow-collared Lovebirds are a common bird sighting in the trees along the Tarangire River.
Night Game Drive
Often taken just after dusk, a night game drive at Tarangire Treetops is a rare opportunity to see how the bush ‘comes alive’ after dark. Driving with an experienced and qualified Elewana guide, this 1.5-hour drive around the environs of Treetops provides an insight into the nocturnal wildlife that is often overlooked or not accessible to visitors who stay within the confines of the national parks. With a keen eye and unbroken concentration, there is much to see and wonder at on a Treetops night game drive.
Walking Safari
There is no better way to up close and personal to the wild than to take a walking safari. Feels the ancient earth beneath every step you take as you tread on the tracks of animals that have walked the same path minutes before. In the company of an experienced guide, learn about the flora as well as the fauna, and begin to understand the true majesty of the indigenous peoples that live and thrive on the land.
Masai Village Tour
The Maasai Village is about 20-30 minutes drive from Treetops and gives a perfect insight to the life of the Maasai. This village with its varying age of inhabitants are very warm and friendly and eager to meet guests from Treetops.
Boma Dinner
Boma Dinner & Masai Dancers – Sample the delights of eating under the stars in a traditional Maasai Boma whilst enjoying the dancing and singing of Maasai menfolk. Flavours of the bush as well as international cuisine if all available in this alfresco dining experience, all of which is done by lantern light and the glowing embers of a large bonfire.

Famed for its vast open grasslands and exceptional wildlife sightings, Tanzania’s magnificent Serengeti National Park boasts 35 species of plains-dwelling game, as well as prolific birdlife. Perhaps most significantly, it is also site of part of the famed Great Migration, an annual movement of wildebeest and other herbivores across the Greater Serengeti-Mara ecosystems, considered one of the greatest spectacles of the natural world. Over two million animals participate in the Great Migration, with some 500 000 zebra moving ahead of and 200 000 Thomson’s gazelle coming behind the main players – one and a half million wildebeest. The Migration can be seen in the Serengeti throughout the year, as the wildebeest spend the wet season in the south-eastern plains. After this, they follow the rains north and west, eventually crossing the Mara River between Kenya’s famed Masai Mara and the northern reaches of the Serengeti. The rains then direct their movement back down to the southern plains, where they start the annual cycle once again. The &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas camps attempt to anticipate the movements of the Great Migration, bringing guests as close as possible to the wildebeest action, as well as exploring magnificent resident game. The luxurious tented camps of &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas move around the park year-round, attempting to anticipate the movements of the Great Migration and exploring the remote and beautiful corners of the Serengeti with excellent resident game. Once a gigantic volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater in northern Tanzania is now the largest intact caldera in the world. Some maintain that, before it erupted, it would have been higher than Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600m (2 000ft) deep crater as its focal point.
