We have meticulously chosen and prepared every aspect of the Safari Club to honour the very best of the African continent.
Our grounds perfectly reflect the space and freedom that Africa offers. With perfectly manicured lawns, swimming pool, pub and braai (BBQ) area, the Safari Club offers everything you could ever need in the most tranquil of settings.
Our 16 rooms accommodate all travelers, from the solo adventurers looking to explore, to families creating unforgettable memories together.
Life in Africa is lived slowly, with intention. We offer free wifi to keep in touch with your friends and relatives across the globe, yet we have also curated a selection of movies and board games so that you can fully disconnect and relax.
We have a small exercise room now with some equipment for guests who want to do some exercise. We have yoga mats, yoga balls, weights, restriction elastics, skipping ropes and will be getting a bicycle shortly.

Reclining in a hammock while learning about the the night sky. In summer Orion and his dog Sirius can be seen chasing Taurus and Pleiades a cross the sky. In winter Scorpio and Corvus the crow is visible along with the ever present Southern Cross, Magellanic clouds and coal sack. With planets making appearances at certain times of the year, the rings around Saturn the many moons of Jupiter visible through good binoculars.
Relax in the bush with a soulful meditative yoga experience - Ubuntu Yoga - which is a gentle African flavored practice. The fee also contributes to the Ubuntu Yoga Project at Nourish Eco Village. ( NPO) to help train promising local candidates and help them earn their certification.

Learn more about the tracking methods and more about the plight of poaching of our precious wildlife. This experience will leave you with a clearer understanding and unforgettable memory.
A walk with Karongwe Private Game Reserve anti-poaching team is like taking a step into a completely different world. This is not just a walk through the bush. You walk through the bush while being aware of not just the wild animal but also of the so called kill zones and possible ambush zones and escape zones. You become aware of possible poacher might be waiting for darkness you also become aware of where to walk and where not to, you really become exposed to how real this war for conservation really is.
Even though this walk is filled with the dangers of not only the nature but also the poacher you definitely find sense of safety with the experience of the anti-poaching team.
4 hours broken down into 1 hour and 45 minute lessons. Each section will include a short guided practical session and the time for questions.

As part of the greater Kruger National Park, which covers an area of 2.2 million hectares, this Timbavati safari lodge is a wildlife haven boasting a diversity of animal life including the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo). With 100 km² of bush to traverse, you have plenty of space to explore the endless variety of Africa’s wildlife in an open Land Rover or on foot.

One Deluxe room is at the back of the guesthouse with bathroom en-suite and private courtyard. This one an be combined with the Honeymoon Suite as the Luxury Family Suite. The Courtyard Deluxe Room has a shared courtyard and has a bathroom en-suite. This room can be combined with Courtyard Suite as the Courtyard Family Suite.

This beautiful Suite comes with a spacious open bedroom with King Size bed, open private lounge, small office/luggage/baby room, recently renovated luxury bathroom with walk in shower and separate bath, access to back garden and terrace with semi private lagoon pool. An open loft was recently added with an extra 2 single beds for 2 children under the age of 16, which makes this suite a very suitable family suite for 2 adults and 2 children.

The Courtyard Suite has a king size bed, with en-suite bathroom with separate bath & double shower, seperate lounge and fully equipped open-plan kitchenette. Has direct access to a Semi-Private Courtyard. Combine it with the Courtyard Deluxe Room as the Courtyard Family Suite
This Suite is approx. 150 m2 and consists of a luxurious large open lounge, fully equiped kitchen, dining room and fire place and can also be used as a Luxury Self-Catering Apartment. The spacious bedroom has a bathroom en-suite with large shower and seperate bath. Stunning views from 2 large balconies.
Our lovely Family Suite, consisting of the Master Bedroom (which is known as the Honeymoon Suite) which includes a private lounge, en-suite bathroom with separate shower & bath, a spare room which can be used as baby room, office or luggage storage and access to a semi-private "solar-heated" lagoon pool. The Master Bedroom is attached to another Deluxe Room, with its own en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower.
Our Courtyard Family Suite consists of the Master Bedroom (which is known as the Courtyard Suite) which includes a private lounge with fully equipped open plan kitchen, separate bedroom, extra length king size bed and en-suite bathroom with separate double shower & bath. The Courtyard Suite combines with the Courtyard Deluxe Room, with its own en-suite bathroom with separate shower & bath, as the Courtyard Family Suite.
The Loft at WedgeView is located on the first floor of the building and is a combination of the Presidential Suite and the 2 Vineyard Rooms. The generously proportioned Loft (approx. 200 m2) is designed with the discerning luxury family or group of 6 people, in mind. It boasts a beautifully contemporary decorated lounge with romantic fireplace and a fully equipped open plan private kitchen. The front balcony is equipped with sunbeds and boasts a splendid view and the back balcony is equipped with a Braai (bbq), dining table and relaxing lounge chairs.

Our highly skilled & trained therapists will ensure that you thoroughly enjoy all the soothing and decadent treatments we have to offer.
WedgeView Spa is open daily from 8:00 – 17:00 by appointment only & consists of the following:
- A single treatment room
- A double treatment room used for couples or friends
- Both have air-conditioning to keep the rooms comfortably cool in summer, warm and cosy in winter
- A hydro-therapy room in which you can enjoy a special treatment in our jet bath.
- A Sauna & Steam Room is available for in-house and outside guests. Guests can pre-book the Sauna or Steam Room at R 400.00 per 30 min per 1 or 2 pax (couple). Showers are available.
- A small but well equipped Gym

WedgeView Spa is also open for outside guests as "Day Spa" and offers a range of treatments and day packages.
Outside guests can also make use of the Sauna or Steam Room but this needs to be pre-booked at R 400.00 per 30 min per 1 or 2 pax. Showers are available.

To encounter the famous Whales take the Whale Coast Route for a stunning hour and a half drive via Gordon’s Bay, Pringle and Betty’s Bay to Hermanus. In Hermanus you can climb onto a boat and go for whale watching and if lucky dolphins, while after that you can enjoy an ice cold beer on one of the many terraces overlooking the sky blue sea.

If you want to exchange the tarmac for a more rugged trail, swooping downhill and winding tracks then the Western Cape has more than enough mountain bike trails for you.
Around the corner from WedgeView, MTB Bottelary Hills part of the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy (BHRC) offers some great Mountain biking trails. The closest official starting point from WedgeView is Overgaauw Wine Estate.
Bikes 'n Wines offers a range of Wine Tours on Mountain bike and the starting point is located approx. 2 km from WedgeView. Some Tour examples can be found below. STELLENBOSCH HALF DAY WINELANDS CYCLE TOUR
Not everyone has the luxury of endless time on holiday, which is why the Stellenbosch Half Day Tour was introduced. Despite being shorter, the four-hour tour still manages to pack in a memorable cycling experience by steering you through scenic vineyards on private wine farms, stopping off for two wine tastings en route.
STELLENBOSCH FAMILY TOUR
Travelling with the whole family, but still keen to visit the winelands? The Stellenbosch Family Tour is perfect for you. This gentle, six-hour tour is accessible to all ages and fitness levels, plus it has loads of child-friendly activities. Kids are entertained with their own exciting pairings, while the parents get to soak in the sights and of course, sample some local wines. It’s a win-win for all! Children 6 & over pay full price, as they receive a full tasting and pairing schedule, of non-alcoholic drinks and snacks

Slow down and smell the roses on our Vineyard Meander, a relaxed, six-hour cycle tour through three picturesque wine estates in the Stellenbosch wine region. Take in the peaceful ambience of the vineyards and the breathtaking views of the Helderberg Moutains while you enjoy this gentle ride through the estates, stopping along the way for lunch, a la carte style, at one of the three farms.

Start your day with our renowned Continental breakfast and/or choose from our hot breakfast à la Carte menu for something more substantial whilst absorbing the beautiful surrounding scenery.
Lunch is served daily from 12:00 until 15:00 from our seasonal à la carte menu from the Bistro, incorporating the best local produce and prepared for your pleasure. Lunch can be served outside weather permitting.
We serve dinner at our Bistro Style Restaurant from a lovely seasonal à la Carte Menu, which can be combined with a selection of lovely wines to offer an experience to savour. Please do check also if there is maybe already a South African Braai planned during your stay.
On our à la Carte, for starters, we offer a range of Home Made soups, a Venison Carpaccio, fried calamari or a Vineyard Platter or our popular Home Made "Dutch" Bitterballen or our local Duck Liver Paté. As mains, you'll find favourites like Free Range Sirloin Steak chips and salad, Indonesian Style Chicken Sateh with rice or fries and Asian side salad, Venison Loin Steak, Local Fish, and a Ravioli as a Vegan/Vegetarian option and for desert a lovely Home Made Chocolate Brownie with ice-cream or Malva Pudding.
