Charmed by the warmth and hospitality of the Irish on a visit to the Emerald Isle, in the last century,

the founder of Macushla House (Gaelic for ‘my beloved’) opened the doors to those seeking the

natural joys of life. 

Macushla House is an owner-managed guesthouse situated in lush gardens in the central Karen district in Nairobi. It has six comfortable en-suite bedrooms. The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. During the colder nights you will often be pleasantly surprised to find a nice hot water bottle hiding underneath the cover. Macushla house is ideal for single travelers, couples or families spending the night in this bustling city.

The house is surrounded by indigenous bushland and offers privacy and space in an informal atmosphere. Public areas are home to an eclectic celebration of artifacts from countries as far flung as Yemen to Australia. Birdsong and wind chimes accompanied by flowing water from the swimming pool dragon are part of the daily concert.

Sosian lodge is a beautifully restored African ranch house that was built in the 1940s by Italian artisans, and accommodates up to sixteen people in the atmosphere of a private home. Seven cottages lie in the tropical garden overlooking Mt Kenya and miles of unspoiled Africa, each with its own private verandah and ensuite bathroom, as well as a purpose built family cottage with an inter-connecting children's bedroom

As well as all the exciting safari activities on offer each day, the lodge has a swimming pool, tennis court and miles of wilderness to explore with top guides. Sosian is well known for its delicious home cooking using fresh ingredients from the organic vegetable garden and for its warm and friendly hospitality.

This is our honeymoon cottage, which is set in its own private garden area with extra privacy. It is the largest of all our rooms with bedroom, walk through closet and large bathroom with twin basins, shower and bath.

This cottage can either be a 2 or 3 bedroom unit, accommodating a family of up to 7 people. There is a double room with an interconnecting twin or triple, which has its own bathroom (with a bath).

The double room also has an en suite bathroom (with a shower).

There is also a twin en suite (with shower) room next door, with separate access through it's own door.

This Réserve-Collection safari camp is tucked away into the shade of old trees, the perfect place for you to return to after a morning, afternoon or full day’s exploration within Kenya’s Maasai Mara ecosystem. We use open safari vehicles for the best viewing and bird watching.

Wildlife here is spectacular, as we have access to the Maasai Mara Reserve and the more private 28,000-hectare Mara North Conservancy. Take the best advantage of two migrations – the famous annual southern migration of over one million animals from the Serengeti and the green season migration from Loita Plains, where over 100,000 zebras and wildebeest arrive from the northwest. It is never quiet around Mara Toto Tree Camp.

Hot-air ballooning over the Maasai Mara is available at additional cost and is a truly stunning way to experience the landscape and an unforgettable sunrise.

Each of Mara Toto Tree Camp’s guest suites has a professional camera set, including a camera body and lenses. Photos will be downloaded to a memory stick on guest’s departure. Each suite comes with a pair of high-quality binoculars for guest use as well.
