An extraordinary itinerary created exclusively for Huka Lodge guests begins with a heli landing atop the summit of Mt Tarawera before arriving in Rotorua to a pōwhiri, a Māori welcoming ceremony onto the Marae, your home base for the day.
Get set for action with a thrilling zip lining experience at Kaituna Gorge. Intertwined with stories of the Ngati Hinerangi people and a strong focus on conservation, this activity blends thrills, education and culture all in one. Return to the Marae for a traditional Hangi lunch, cooked in an earth oven.

Next up, an awesome white water rafting adventure on the Okere River, home of the mighty Tutea waterfall. Happily sated and spent from the day’s expedition, hop in the heli for a spectacular return trip to Huka Lodge.
