Camp Turaco is situated amid a lush green garden on the banks of the Zambezi River in Namibia. Accommodation consists of rustic chalets equipped with en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and mosquito netting. There is also a tented room available for guests. Chalet Double Bed Chalet with Twin Beds Tented room

Rustic thatched en-suite chalets on the banks of the Zambezi River - equipped with a ceiling fan and mosquito nets. The chalets are built with reed walls and have canvas curtains opening up along the front, to give you that "sleeping in the open" feeling.

After successfully bringing refreshed design and enhanced comfort to the lodge rooms in 2024, we are now turning our attention to the heart of the lodge. In 2026, the main guest areas, including the reception, restaurant, bar, and sundowner deck, will undergo a major upgrade to create a brighter, more modern space that complements the look and feel of our newly styled rooms. To ensure a smooth renovation process with minimal disruption, the lodge will be temporarily closed from 15 January to 2 April 2026. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to assist with rescheduling any existing bookings.

Experience an unforgettable boat trip on the Kwando River. Refreshments and light snacks included.

Join a guided fishing trip and catch species such as catfish, tilapia, nambwe and tigerfish. Boat and basic tackle & bait are included, drinks on own account. A fishing licence can be obtained at the lodge but is not included in the rate. Lost lure or broken fishing equipment to be replaced at guest’s expense. All fishing is on a catch and release basis.

Mahangu Safari Lodge is located on the western bank of the Okavango River, 22 kilometres south of Divundu, Namibia. The lodge offers an array of accommodations ranging from bush huts and a houseboat to safari tents and river-facing campsites.
