Ila Safari Lodge | Central Kafue

Ila Safari Lodge is a true eco-lodge providing facilities of the highest quality to a maximum of 24 guests. The lodge is located on the banks of the mighty Kafue River in an area of abundant wildlife and boasts 180 degree views out across the water. The central boma is best described by the phrase 'eco friendly meets dynamic design' and is the showpiece of our property. The lodge has 10 state of the art luxury safari tents perched each on their own deck reaching out over the banks of the Kafue River. Included in our 10 top-notch tents are 2 larger family suites. Each tent has been individually designed to mesh with the flora surrounding it providing shade, privacy and your very own piece of Kafue wilderness.

The interiors as well as the private decks are furnished in chic, modern African style and every comfort has been considered. All tents feature en suite bathrooms and either outside showers or baths. Beds are extra length for the most comfortable nights sleep. Mosquito nets are spacious and billowing and are turned down for you each evening. Take a dip in the cutting edge designer pool, dine on mouth-watering cuisine, kick back and enjoy a book or just watch the world go by with an ice cold drinks in hand from the lounge.

Musekese Camp | Central Kafue

Perched on the edge of a spectacular lagoon hidden away from the outside world Musekese has made a name for itself with expert guiding, exceptional food and phenomenal wildlife. Explore this game-rich area by vehicle, foot, or boat along the emerald green Kafue River.

Musekese Camp has only five chalets, taking a maximum of ten people. There's a minimum of two guides on hand at any time, which means you are entirely assured of activities taken at your pace and interest. Rooms at Musekese Camp are spacious and comfortable with all the necessities. This includes en suite flushing toilets and on-demand hot water showers.

The wildlife viewing in and around Musekese is exceptional. Game numbers and the quality of sightings have improved year upon year thanks to increased protection and concerted habituation by the associated conservation non-profit 'Musekese Conservation'. All the major predators are present, with leopard and lion very well represented. Elephant herds are always visible in the dry season months and the plains game is as numerous as it is varied from sable and hartebeest to zebra and puku (puku in their hundreds). Birding is top-class, with hundreds of species recorded in and around the Musekese area.
