Situated on the northern edge of the central Kalahari Game Reserve in a private reserve, Deception Valley Lodge provides a unique experience for those who wish to soak up the true atmosphere of the bush in one of Africa’s remote semi-desert areas where Bushmen once roamed. The Bushman experience is a highlight at this safari lodge.

Deception Valley Lodge accommodates up to sixteen people in six chalets and one family suite with two en-suite bedrooms, a large terrace and a private pool. Each unit offers an en-suite Victorian-style bathroom, an outside shower and a private spacious lounge. All units are fitted with ceiling fans and mosquito nets. The chalets are connected with the main lodge by wooden walkways.
 
The main complex boasts a dining room, lounge and bar area decorated in warm Kalahari colours and a large deck from which guests have an amazing view over the waterhole which frequently gets visited by a variety of animals. Guests can exercise in the lodge’s very own gym or relax by the swimming-pool. A curio shop completes the offer. 

Activities at the lodge are undertaken in the Kalahari Private Reserve and include game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles (with trackers), night drives in the reserve, bird watching and guided game walks with experienced guides.  The Kalahari Desert is a harsh environment where water supplies are limited and the wildlife has adapted accordingly.

Khwai Lediba provides the perfect setting of a wilderness area where a community lives in harmony with nature and wildlife. The magnificent Khwai River is the hub for some of the most outstanding wildlife viewing in the Khwai area. 

Accommodation consists of six spacious tents and one family room, all perched on wooden decking. All tents are ensuite with an indoor and outdoor shower and a private wooden deck overlooking the tranquil waters of the lagoon.

The main area includes a sunken lounge, bar and dining area, with a pool area privately set to the side and towards the tents.

Activities on offer are game drives conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, and night excursions. Optional village walks & mokoro trips (water level dependant) for longer stays should be requested in advance. The camp also offers the opportunity to visit the nearby Khwai village preschool.

Located in Kwara Private Reserve, 4 Rivers camp is nestled in an isolated part of the reserve with diverse vegetation and waterways with open plains, forested islands, and Mopane woodlands.

Accommodation at 4 Rivers consist of 9 large meru tents, of which one is a family tent. Each tastefully decorated meru tent is built on a raised wooden platform complete with an en suite bathroom with both an indoor and outdoor shower. Guest can relax and take in the views from the small seating area on the outdoor deck. Children from 6 years are welcome at 4 Rivers.

The raised main area includes a bar and dining area as well as smaller lounge areas where guests can relax. The deck extends out to a fire pit area overlooking a small lagoon with Maboa Island in the distance. The communal swimming pool is a welcome escape from the heat.

Activities offered include day and night game drives on the reserve. Seasonal walking safaris with experienced guides and mokoro trips are offered only when water levels permit.

Duke's Camp | Okavango Delta

Located just north of the iconic Vumbura and Duba Plains, and adjoining the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, Duke’s Camp is situated on a 220 000-acre concession in the northern sector of the Okavango Delta. The camp is pitched on an island along the shores of a permanent lagoon, all but hidden amid the boughs of indigenous leadwood and ebony trees.

Duke’s camp offers 9 canvas safari suites pitched on raised wooden decks beneath a canopy of ebony and leadwood trees, each suite is positioned to offer amazing views of the Okavango Delta. All suites offer a spacious en-suite bathroom with indoor showers, as well as a private viewing deck.

The main mess area includes a small comfy lounge (with a well-stocked drinks cabinet), tea, library and dining area, with a 24-seater vintage dining table often placed under the leadwood trees. There is a swimming pool and separate jetty, and in front of the mess tent a ‘firepit’ from which the guests can enjoy the splendid view over the lagoon or of the night sky.

At an additional cost, guests can book a helicopter flight over the Okavango delta.

Chobe Elephant Camp | Chobe River Front

Located high on the edge of a rocky ridge overlooking the famous Chobe River is Chobe Elephant Camp. This uniquely designed lodge has been built to take advantage of the incredible views overlooking the sweeping floodplains while offering a comfortable refuge from the harsh African conditions.

The lodge has been entirely constructed from sandbags, the thick sand-filled walls create a natural insulating barrier between the inhabitants and the harsh African climate and enhance the old farm-style feel of the camp. It houses sixteen rooms, two family rooms and can sleep 36 guests at a time. 

Activities include viewing the regions spectacular wildlife from open safari vehicles and by boat on the Chobe River as well as a cultural visit. Chobe Elephant Camp’s boat jetty is about one hours drive from camp, close to Ihaha in the heart of the Chobe National Park. This jetty is seasonal and usually operational in high water months from May until September, in other months the cruise starts in Kasane. 

At an additional charge, guests can experience an unforgettable canoeing activity on the Chobe River, it is conducted by experienced guides and brings them closer to nature than a boating experience. This experience is subject to suitable water levels and needs to be pre-booked.


Chobe / Ngoma Gate
This property is located near the Ngoma Gate for entry to the Chobe Riverfront.  Very few lodges are located on this end of the park and few people utilize this entry point, creating a more remote and exclusive experience than at the properties around Kasane.  Although outside the park, this option is located in a bush setting where wildlife frequently passes through.
